TLDR: the SYSTEM is structurally biased toward NA1, in my opinion.

It protects locked top seeds, prioritizes regional separation over actual team strength, and has made NRG’s path easier at 3 straight LANs.

That is the pattern across all 3 LANs:

Boston: NRG gets the 1631 group while EU1 gets 1886.

Paris: NRG gets the 1677 group while EU1 gets 1828.

Worlds: NRG loses RAE #1 Falcons from its base group after the adjustment.

Same pattern.

After the regional adjustments, NRG’s final group became:

NRG

Manchester City
Bigodes
So the system effectively turned:
Falcons → Bigodes
FURIA → Man City
RAE’s #1 team was removed from NRG’s group and a bottom-tier team went in.

NRG was not a top-5 team in the model.
But look at what happened to their group.

Paris gets worse when you inspect the adjustment.

NRG’s base group contained Shopify.

Regional conflict rules moved Shopify OUT and replaced them with Manchester City. NRG also ended up with Five Fears.

The correction process made NRG’s group easier.
