The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), Ministry of Finance and Delhi Customs (Airport & General) Commissionerate destroyed a total of around 26 Lakhs cigarette of foreign origin, 219.60 Kgs of NDPS drugs (Heroin, Cocaine, Ganja, Charas, etc), Gutkha/ Pan Masala and e-Cigarettes.
Value of destroyed Drugs, Cigarettes etc. is Rs. 852 Crores approx. These goods were seized by the Customs department for violation of Customs Act, NDPS Act and the Cigarette and Other Tobacco Products Act.
The destruction process was carried out on 16th October, 2025 in a safe and non-hazardous manner at a waste management facility at Delhi in presence of Shri Manish Kumar, Chief Commissioner of Delhi Customs Zone and Shri Vishal Pal Singh, Commissioner of Customs (Airport & General) Commissionerate. @cbic_india@Delhicustoms #SpecialCampaign5_0

The Customs officers of IGI Airport, New Delhi, have booked a case of smuggling of green colour NDPS substance suspected Ganja/Marijuana concealed in five (05) black and transparent coloured polythene packets kept in one Red/Maroon coloured trolley bag. One Indian national arrived from Tashkent to Istanbul by flight no. TK 0367 Y dated 03.10.2025 & Istanbul to Delhi by flight no. TK 0716 Y dated 03.10.2025 at Terminal-3, IGI Airport, New Delhi on 04.10.2025.
On the basis of spot profiling, the pax was diverted at green channel for the x-ray of his personal and baggage search by the customs officers on duty. Subsequently, on examination of Red/Maroon colour trolley bag carried by the pax, five (05) black and transparent colour polythene packets containing green colour narcotics substance suspected to be ganja/marijuana totally weighing 6939 grams (net weight) was found. When this material was subjected to diagnostic test, prima facie it appeared to be Ganja/Marijuana. The value of said substance is 6.939 crores approx.
In view of the above, it was clear that the pax had violated provisions of Section 8 of the NDPS Act, 1985 and had committed offence punishable under Section 20, Section 23 and Section 29 of NDPS Act, 1985. Accordingly, the pax has been placed under arrest under Section 43(b) of NDPS Act, 1985 at about 15:30 hrs on 04-10-2025, green colour substance suspected to be Ganja/Marijuana has been seized along with concealing material and packaging under section 43(a) of NDPS Act, 1985.
Further investigation in the matter is under process.

CMD CONCOR, Shri Sanjay Swarup, was conferred with the “SEPC Stellar Visionary Leader of the Year Award” at the Conclave on Future-Ready Logistics in India organized by the Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC), set up by Ministry of Commerce , on 29th August 2025 in New Delhi.
