I think raising taxes on 1/4 of District households in a deep local recession with no public discussion instead of proposing any real budget cuts, and while also proposing new spending is a terrible economic and fiscal path to go down.
DC Councilmember Harry Thomas, Jr. went to jail for stealing $ from gov't. Now, @Janeese4DC holds campaign events with him near the seen of the crime.
She's cozy with Trayon White (awaiting trial for bribery), and convicted felons Michael A. Brown (bribery) & Harry Thomas, Jr.
Your tax dollars at work: The alarm wasn’t working, so D.C. government paid $1 Million to human fire watchers to hang out in government offices to see if fire might break out. This went on for almost a year. https://t.co/Qo4AAiZBGw
Happening now: Columbus Circle at Union Station is completely restored as part of Trump’s effort to make “DC Safe and Beautiful.”
Secretary Burgum and Secretary Duffy are here to cut the ribbon for the official reopening.
Absolutely brazen for you to be commenting on policing. The only reason there is so much federal law enforcement activity is because you have worked tirelessly with the DSA to defund our agency. What you’re seeing is a direct result of your leadership.
Federal attorneys in the bribery case of D.C. Councilmember Trayon White claimed the Ward 8 representative took two trips to the Dominican Republic that were paid for by a campaign contributor.

Congestion pricing is a tax on business - a tax DC businesses cannot afford as they operate in what is now the worst city to start a business in (highest one year failure rate in the country)
Should D.C. charge Maryland and Virginia drivers to enter the city? Congress is now trying to stop it before it ever starts. A new bill would permanently ban D.C. congestion pricing — fueling a growing fight over traffic, commuters, and D.C. home rule.
@7NewsDC
Today, we remember and honor those who gave their lives in defense of our freedom. We also want to thank our members who are on the streets today keeping the city safe. #MemorialDay
This was the right move - but given not only recent events but the long standing trend in juvenile violence it falls woefully short of what’s needed to bring meaningful change. Hold offenders accountable, hold parents accountable .
We just reinstated a limited juvenile curfew under a new emergency order in Washington, DC.
Here's how that impacts residents:
1. Effective tonight, 5/22, all youth under the age of 18 are subject to a 11PM citywide curfew.
2. Designated zones will be subject to an 8PM curfew as determined by the Chief of Police.
3. The curfew will extend through 6/6.
This order is an emergency tool that will address the next 15 days to preserve safety and protect peace in our community.
D.C. authorities are bracing for a summer of teen takeovers of public spaces in the absence of an emergency juvenile curfew law, as federal prosecutors weigh charging the parents of criminal youths. https://t.co/jWcInvusLI
The ongoing crime statistics corruption scandal exposes a real crisis in leadership in DC. This is not a safe city, and our council members and mayor have been touting false crime statistics for years. Go to the polls June 16 and November 3 to show them we will no longer tolerate it
Bogus DC Crime Stats Scandal!
@DCGOP Executive Director, Carolina Celnik told RAV's @ReporterMcCabe about the impact of @DCPoliceDept getting caught red-handed faking Washington crime statistics.
I became President of my apartment building’s tenant association today which technically makes me one of the few out gay elected Republican officials in Dupont ⭕️.
The Sedgewick looks forward to doing our part to help Make D.S. Safe and Beautiful Again! 🇺🇸🫡
