What are the odds @saikatc knew he had no chance tonight and threw a bunch of baseless AIPAC smears against Connie Chan to try and poison her chances in the general? We should expect nothing less than 100% support for Connie from his camp, failing that is sus
Every time someone like this chimes in, I hope they’re getting a check. Saikat is paying a handsome fee to like the boot. Would be a shame for them to do it for free
Can’t wait for people from other states to focus on areas they know literally anything about. The Saikat boosters outside of SF were a net negative in the race bc they assumed they had a better grasp than the people actually affected by the race.
My two biggest takeaways from yesterday’s elections:
1) it’s easier for vocally anti-genocide Dems to build winning coalitions of supporters (Hamawy in NJ-12) than for “progressive” Zionists to do so (Raman in LA and Steyer)
2) CA-11 voters are irredeemably stupid
@it_guy_sadiq@saikatc “Hating Saikat” is hyperbole completely unrelated to any statement i’ve made. Why don’t you take a break, take a breath, and come back when you’ve calmed down.
CA when the votes are counted quickly: “are they even checking for fraud? I bet they’re letting non-citizens vote”
CA when the votes are counted slowly: “what’s taking so long?”
@it_guy_sadiq@saikatc Either way, the “Connie takes AIPAC cash” was clearly coordinated with the Saikat campaign. Pushed by pro-Saikat tracker and drop site, immediately shared by the campaign. It’s fair to speculate that this was the petulant move of a loser.
I'll say this again: Lateefah Simon represents the next district, is endorsed by Pelosi and by AIPAC cutout EDW and gets EDW $ every cycle. She is one of the ten best reps on Palestine. Chan has a similarly strong record. Don't use AIPAC dirty tricks to cast aspersions
@it_guy_sadiq@saikatc So that was the plan for Lateefah Simon as well? Bc she got money from the same PAC. I think you’re a little under-read on the subject.
@it_guy_sadiq@saikatc Knowing just how much AIPAC is willing to spend in primaries, and the outright fuckery they employ, not hard to picture a scenario where AIPAC “funded” Connie to throw the race. Of course, the alleged AIPAC cash went to many candidates, like Simon, who are antizionist
