For a guy who "can't rush the passer" he seems to put up decent sack numbers. He was never supposed to be Micah Parsons or Myles Garrett and nobody has ever thought of him that way.
He's had at least 7 and 1/2 sacks in 4 of the last 5 seasons and the only season he didn't get there he had 6 in only 9 games. If Dallas gets 7 or 8 sacks out of him this yr I'm reasonably sure they'll be happy.
@JohnOwning I know there's more to it than just the pure sack numbers, but Gary does have 7.5 or more sacks in 4 of the last 5 seasons, and the only one he didn't he only played 9 games but still had 6 sacks. For a guy who isn't a primo pass rush guy those sack totals are quality numbers.
@JoriEpstein The streaming garbage is out of control. Nobody should need this many different platforms to watch NFL games. It's particularly sickening to see them limit exposure for holiday and playoff games.
@Mike_Draft21@FootsDaKing He's right. Hooker's had a TOTAL of 14 passes defensed and 7 picks. In FIVE seasons combined. There are some safeties that can literally get to (and sometimes exceed) those numbers in a single season. He's awful
I would like someone to explain to me what they see with Hooker.
He's a FS. He almost never gets his hand on a football. He has the sort of numbers that make you think he wasn't even on the field. And he seems to ALWAYS be late on the double team help over the top. And last yr his tackling turned incredibly mediocre.
@PFT_Live@devinmccourty How stupid. Everything Goodell supports ruins the game a little more every day.
18 games is ridiculous. 17 is ridiculous. Teams canβt keep guys healthy.
Tempting to pick Lawrence but going with Rashan Gary because he will almost certainly start every week and get ample PT. The last 5 seasons he has had between 7.5 and 9.5 sacks every season except the yr he got injured, and he had 6 in 9 games then. He might get 10+ for the first time here in Parker's scheme, he'll also be strong v the run.
