@KimballCall@StephenJShaw The 1hr dance would have every eligible person in the town looking for a dance partner at the same time. Whereas, every time you go to the hall there are only 3 people. And you know you could try again at another time/day and you'd find 3 new options. Provo is the 1hr dance.
@KimballCall You ought to talk to @StephenJShaw about this. He has been backing a theory that the issue with modern dating is that we don't all seek marriage at the same time and thus we don't have the urgency nor options. Imagine a 1 hr town dance each year vs a 365 24/7 dance hall.
@latterdaylaura@NoblestCalling The realization that someone set up a camera or is filming has ruined so many videos on social media. Like videos of someone waking up, filming a crime, having an emotional moment, or hiking towards the camera.
@latterdaylaura@NoblestCalling Wait?! Are you trying to tell me that you don't get a camera out to film them in their moment of weakness and publish it to strangers on the internet?
@latterdaylaura If you are gonna do a stats crime at least do it properly. Crumbl is released a drink that has 186,000,000,000 nanograms (ng) of sugar. That's equivalent to about 22.4 ng for every single human alive, enough for every single human to produce 75,000,000,000,000 molecules of ATP.
@World_Insights1 I tell my kids, never let someone take advantage of you by twisting standards you have which they don't. Once a girl said that my daughter needed to be like Jesus and give her a turn. The little girl does not believe in Jesus and thus refused to share when the tables were turned.
@FamStudies Fascinating. Is this controlled against age of the woman when she gave birth? Because a 15 year old giving birth is unlikely to have a doctoral degree or to be married... but she's not unmarried because she doesn't have a doctorate. She's unmarried because she's 15.
@CRPakaluk@jeffreycdecker No one "accidentally stumbles" into the same behavior over two decades of repeated effort. Yet the world absolutely talks about having kids as if having many is an accident. I have a theory that people are hyperconcerned about not making the childless feel bad so we diminish kids
@CRPakaluk I knew you were going to start a podcast but until now I didn't see it. I don't know how I have not heard about "Paidaxiology Podcast" we got to get you so more numbers it's way better than it's view numbers. Also why are you posting duplicates to YT? That's halving your views.
@CRPakaluk I am angry I didn't see this earlier! Are you still taking names? I have a bucket of people along the Northern Wasatch Front UT. Let me know how many you'd like.
Also standing offer if you're ever in SLC and need lunch.
@nathan_covey Thank you for linking this. I'll look into it. Also looking at your profile I think we could connect DM me if you're interested. Next time you're in SLC I'll buy you lunch.
@phlndrws Agreed. They see the disruption of the Industrial Revolution but don’t yet understand that the microwave, tv, and refrigerator will be invented. Of course the blacksmith is concerned that the automobile will make horseshoes less needed. What we need is blacksmiths to find welding
@Manhattva I tell my kids we admire the "Once Great Britain." There is so much about Britain that I am proud to carry on, and yet I can not bring myself to call the current place, "Great Britain." It is no longer Great nor Britain. It is not the home of industry or the West. Lionheart weeps
@maxinomics I on the other hand have no interest but likewise have seen nothing.
By the way you earned a follow for your shout out that a well-curated X feed is your superpower. Care to share some tips on how to curate an X feed?
Also your flat bed video has got me thinking a lot!
@Manhattva So to the 3 views I got. Thanks for reading this far. Please go do some critical thinking for me. Have conversations with Humans and ask what they think not to measure them but to calibrate your measuring.
When they disagree be flattered then ask them. "Why?"
@Manhattva I finally realized that by only engaging in human discussion I'm absent in what has become the "real world." The place where people engage in the discussion to determine reality. Yet when I post I get 3 views. I am not counteracting anything, I am just a leaf in the river.
