Currently in the UK. Went to see my gran in her nursing home this PM.
My dad & son went to grab her a cuppa & came back said there was a singer in the lounge. Dad showed me a pic & it was Terry Owens!
Of course, we chatted Shots! This wasnβt on my bingo card this morning! π΄π΅
@SteveGibbsPR@FIFAWorldCup I wonder how many Ex-Shots players have been to a World Cup?
Teddy Sheringham and Oliver Bozanic are the only two I can think of off the top of my head!
The club can confirm that we have agreed an undisclosed fee for Josh Barrett to move from Aldershot Town to an unnamed club for the 2026/27 season and beyond.
I don't think there's a Shots fan out there who doesn't agree that what Josh did here at Aldershot Town was magic! Having recently joined the Shots 100 club, Josh accumulated over 40 goals and assists for the club in that time.
A couple of the many key moments in a Shots shirt, include a beautiful Boxing Day free-kick against rivals Woking and his hat-trick against Oldham Athletic in a 3-1 away win for the Shots.
Needless to say, a huge part of our Wembley success, where he scored an absolute screamer in the final to make it 3-0 to the Shots, a moment I'm sure every single fan will never forget!
Shots manager Scott Davies had this to say "Firstly, itβs a huge thanks to Josh for what heβs done for this football club during his time here. From afar I have always seen that Josh has been a fan's favourite in the way he plays the game and admire his undoubted ability as a footballer.
Josh made it evidently clear that with a young family, he wanted security by having more than one year left on his current contract.
From a club's point of view, it was difficult to offer Josh a new and improved deal at this time so weβve reluctantly accepted an offer from elsewhere.
We thank Josh for his time at the club and wish him well in the future".
He's got magic in his boots, he bleeds red and blue, Shots fans, join us in thanking Josh Barrett for all his efforts during his 2 and a half years here, once a Shot, always a Shot!
Ahead of a massive trip to Wembley, a shout out to the Dale fans who travel the length and breadth of the country to support the team.
Somebody on the Aldershot forum pulled together a chart, showing we have the highest % of our home support going to away days in the league π

βIβll give them better next seasonβ.
This was 48 hours ago! All the signs were he was with us going forward. WTF has happened in that meeting this afternoon?

"The brutal fact is the players aren't good enough...the fans deserve better, and I'll give them better next season."
Aldershot boss John Coleman was furious with his players following the Shot's 2-1 loss to relegated Brackley Town.
A season to forget. A real shame we havenβt been able to kick on from our FA Trophy success on and off the field.
Clearly things need to change in the summer. Roll on August π΄π΅π΄π΅
One year ago today, The Shots faced Woking in the FA Trophy Semi Final. The biggest game at the Recreation Ground in a generation
In front of 7,058 - Aldershot Townβs 2nd highest ever home crowd - James Henry and Jack Barham send the Shots to Wembley for the first time ever
Love this. He is right and those are standards he works to. Even we are pretty much safe, he outlines that todayβs preference wasnβt acceptable π΄π΅π΄π΅
π£οΈ "This is the most angry I've been with us since taking over at Aldershot."
