🚨 Youri Tielemans on why he reported back to Carrington Early:
“After the World Cup, I was supposed to enjoy my holiday, but honestly... it felt boring. When the biggest club in the world signs you, all you can think about is getting started. Every day I was checking the group chat, watching the lads train, imagining my first session.
I just wanted to get to Carrington, meet everyone properly and understand how things worked before the season really kicked off. Senne Lammens has been brilliant as well. Having another Belgian around made everything easier. He showed me around, introduced me to everyone and made me feel at home from day one.
People think reporting back early is about impressing the manager. It wasn't. I was just too excited to wait. Once Manchester United calls, holiday doesn't really feel like holiday anymore.”
🚨 Senne Lammens on why he reported back to Carrington early:
“The club told me to switch off a bit after the World Cup. I lasted about 4 days., I rang the manager and asked if I could come back early. He laughed and said, ‘Senne… I know you’re hurting after the World Cup, but football will still be here. Go and clear your head.’
I tried. Three dayss later I called him again. He just sighed. ‘Senne… that’s not how holidays work. You’re either desperate to train… or desperate to annoy me.’ I said, ‘Hopefully both.’
He started laughing.
‘Fine… come in on Friday before you call me again tomorrow.’ That’s how my holiday ended before the expected date.”

🚨 - There were no plans to sign Rodri when Real Madrid renewed Tchouaméni's contract.
Rodri's arrival could mean Real Madrid will sell somene, and this could change Tchouaméni's situation. [@Ramon_AlvarezMM
Argentina are the only team out of all 48 participants not to have a single VAR intervention against them, despite committing the most fouls in the tournament. Do you even realize how insane that is?
