Under the High Patronage of His Excellency the President of the Republic of Djibouti, Mr.Ismail Omar Guelleh, the Forum on Free Trade Zones witnessed a great success and gathered more than 300 industry leaders, investors and economic stakeholders in the sectors of renewable energy, transport and logistics, automobile, agriculture.

This forum was an opportunity to bring together in Business to Business meetings Djiboutian Businessmen and their Chinese counterparts.

The Forum was held in Shanghaï, the financial capital of China that bolts an impressive GDP of 660 billions usd.

Shanghai, described as the showpiece of China, is a global hub and major financial center. The city has developed strong economic ties with the rest of the world, and has reached more than 10 billion usd in trade exchanges.

Also known as the busiest port in the world in terms of cargo tonnage, the container throughput of Shanghai Port can reach 50 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs)

The areas of collaboration with the city of Shanghai are focused on the following:
-Ports and maritime sectors,
-Industrialization,
- Entrepreneurship.

On August 29, 2024, #JixiangNewEnergy's YUDO3 electric vehicle was officially launched at the Djibouti Free Trade Zone! This grand event, attended by key leaders from IDIPO, Gangsheng (HK), and Yaojunfeng, marked a significant milestone for the automotive industry in East Africa.
