Important to remember that every single person who talks about the Tigers on here doesn’t follow the rest of the league on even the slightest level so every time they frame something as the worst thing in history, it’s probably just happening everywhere else too.
Salute to all the fellow Tigers writers, podcasters and content folks still grinding through this stretch. Easy to disappear when the team is 22-37. Harder to keep showing up every day and still talk ball without turning everything into a meltdown.
Keith against LHP last three yrs in minors: .305 avg
Keith against LHP first yr in majors: .305 avg
Scarce opportunities since, and much less success. Related? "Yeah I think definitely."
"I’m just doing whatever I can to earn those at-bats, and I hope it comes soon."
It’s annoying me so much that the guy you extended before he’d played a major league game & hit .305 against lefties in the minors & hit .300 against them his rookie year is getting less at bats a game than Wenceel, Vierling & fucking ZACK SHORT.
New article: Tigers fans are right to be angry. Scott Harris is not above criticism. But if we’re going to judge his body of work against recent Tigers front offices, the conversation has to be more than rage.

I have a lot of problems with this post:
1. You may be frustrated, but why target the longest-tenured player in the Tigers' organization, who has always played hard and with a positive attitude, who made meaningful contributions to 2 playoff seasons, and has already overachieved and exceeded expectations for his MLB career?
2. Demanding that players be performatively sad 24-7 after a loss, when they are humans with wives, young kids, normal lives who have played hundreds or thousands of games in their careers and thus have dealt with failure many times before and will do so many times again, is absurd.
3. MLB player Instagram is relatively unpolluted by the nonsense of social media -- particularly for regular, non-star players. Sharing positive photos and videos with friends and family back home and current and former teammates around the game is totally normal. That's why a ton of players are on Instagram and virtually zero are on X/Twitter.
Tigers school of development
- extend them to play 2B
- force players to learn no defensive position
- platoon them from an early age
- sign someone else to play their primary position
- Dh him + platoon him (reduce a 22 year old to jahmai jones)
- repeat
@TigersJUK 65 wins? Maybe if Skubal, Torres, Carpenter and Baez don't come back from the IL lol
Do you not remember how depressing the 2022 season was? E-Rod and Baez! Greene and Tork! AUSTIN MEADOWS?
