@tkn_Sparta@Calvin_CSC Well half the UK scene is pure politics and people just donโt like each other behind the scenes so thatโs the first thing. 2nd if you ainโt already got somewhat of a name or are a great player itโs rare ppl give u the time of day so โmostโ could just be a few/100s.
Big part is you become a product of your environment. Europe, UK in particular is a very fast paced and a selfish kind of lifestyle outside of Tekken which then translates into how they are when it comes to training and competing. Itโs very much โwhat benefits meโ not everyone.
The conversation has come up again about EU and NA and why they lack behind Asia in #TEKKEN
Korea's old arcade scene and subsequent bootcamps in Seoul and their superior Internet.
Pakistan's old and current arcade scene and bootcamps, regular tournaments and focus on offline.
Both countries share a similarity in that the majority of their best players are located in one city (Seoul/Lahore). Whereas for NA and EU it's very different.
The question is how bad do you want it? I've been to both countries and seen how it is. For example people who have trained in Pakistan have often gone on to do great things.
After that it's about bringing that back home and training the new players just as Book did for Thailand. A sole warrior who traveled to learn, improve and bolster up his home scene.
There are always answers. Even if it's difficult.
@JSarko_ Fr fr, itโs the old saying of โthey wanna see you do well but not better than themโ thatโs how most EU tekken players are. Lock tips and advice behind a paywall ๐คฃ but yeah it is what it is just gotta get good and find genuine people
UK vs Italy delivered.
Two teams. Two nations. One intense battle on the OOC stage.
Huge congratulations to Team United Kingdom for taking the win tonight, and massive respect to both sides for showing up and representing their country.
This is what country-based competition is all about. ๐ฌ๐ง๐ฎ๐น
