My dearest Obidient Family,
I want you to pause for a moment and remember why we started.
We didn’t join this movement because it was easy.
We didn’t stand under the sun, rain, and teargas because we were promised comfort.
We didn’t risk jobs, friendships, and even our lives because we were guaranteed instant victory.
We came because we looked at Nigeria and said: “This suffering is not normal. This darkness is not our portion. Our children deserve better.”
We saw a man, @PeterObi who was willing to leave the comfort of his home, sacrifice his peace, risk his family’s safety, and stand in the gap for a New Nigeria. A man of competence, capacity, character and compassion. That kind of leadership doesn't come every day.
Yes, the road has been rough.
Yes, some things have not moved at the pace we expected.
Yes, we’ve been betrayed, mocked, blocked, and discouraged on every side.
But tell me, since when did freedom come cheap?
They killed our brothers during EndSARS.
They jailed our sisters for speaking truth.
They tore our mandates in broad daylight.
Many of us lost businesses, jobs, relationships… just for wearing this badge of hope.
After all that sacrifice, shall we now walk away because things got harder?
Shall we abandon the dream because the journey is longer than we thought?
Shall we betray those who died carrying this flag, just because we are tired?
No. A thousand times NO.
This is not the time to resign.
This is the time to RE-SIGN.
Re-commit. Re-organise. Re-energise.
The Obidient family is not a political party.
It is a covenant.
It is a promise we made to ourselves, to our children, and to the souls that have gone ahead of us.
We are the generation that will look our children in the eye and say:
“Yes, Nigeria was broken… but we didn’t run. We stayed. We fought. We fixed it.”
Nothing good comes easy.
Every great nation passed through its wilderness before entering its promised land.
We are in the wilderness now.
But the Promised Land is still ahead.
Hold on, family.
Hold the line.
Hold each other.
Peter Obi is not giving up.
The ancestors who fought for this land are watching.
The children yet unborn are counting on us.
Let nobody scatter this house.
Let nobody divide this love.
Let nobody kill this dream.
We will persevere.
We will overcome.
By the grace of God, we will deliver a New Nigeria; a Nigeria that works for EVERYONE, no matter your tribe, tongue, faith, or region.
This is not just politics.
This is destiny.
We are the Obidients.
We do not retreat.
We do not surrender.
We do not fail.
Together, we will win.
Together, we will heal Nigeria.
Stay strong, family.
The best is still ahead.
With love and unbreakable faith,
Your brother in the struggle,
Ibrahim H. Abdulkarim✊🏾🇳🇬

Local Governments Must Not Become a License for Waste
I have just read the disturbing report that the wives of 21 local government chairmen in Adamawa State were sponsored with public funds to travel to Turkey under the guise of leadership training.
Today, while our children at the basic education level, whose education is the responsibility of local governments, are out of school, and those in school lack classrooms and teachers, while LGA pensioners are likely being owed, and teachers continue to struggle under economic hardship, it is disheartening that scarce resources are channeled into frivolities such as foreign trips for the wives of local government chairmen who have no public office, at an estimated cost of about ₦600 million in public funds.
While I sincerely commend Governor Fintiri and his team for their efforts, especially in the area of infrastructure in Yola, Adamawa still remains one of the states in urgent need of investment in critical sectors such as education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation. Such money, if directed at women micro-credit at an average of ₦100,000 each for women-led micro businesses, will uplift 6,000 women, which would be more impactful to the various LGAs, with about 300 women in each LGA being empowered, than this wasteful spending.
Basic education in particular cannot afford to lose such a huge amount, as the over half a billion naira in question could have funded about 30 blocks of six classrooms at an average cost of ₦20 million each, directly impacting the lives of countless children and communities.
We must return to prudent, people-oriented governance. Local government funds belong to the people, to the market woman, the farmer, the teacher, the pensioner, and every ordinary Nigerian who depends on government for basic amenities. Anything short of that is an abuse of office and should not be condoned. This is not only a glaring case of waste but a mockery of the very essence of governance.

My weekend activity of serving food at a special event has been generating interest, as expectedly, because leaders in our society have removed the service component in leadership.
It's sounding strange that I was seen serving food to people. Let me be clear, that event was not about me. It was called the Jubilee of Hope, and its purpose is straightforward, to remind us all that true leadership is service, and that those who have must never forget those who do not.
When I attended the Jubilee of Hope in Imo State, it was a private service event. I did not post about it, nor did I invite media coverage. Unfortunately, some third parties, completely outside of my team, shared photos and videos. As expected, the usual naysayers and paid agents went to work trying to twist something sincere into something political.
But let me restate the heart of the matter, the Jubilee of Hope is designed for the rich to come down from their high places, even if just for a moment, and serve the poor, not as a show, but as a symbol of the society we must build. A society anchored on empathy, equity, and responsibility.
I was not the only one who served that day. Many well-meaning and distinguished Nigerians also participated, people like Cardinal Onaiyekan, Senator Osita Izunaso, former Chairman of Seplat Plc, Dr. A.B.C. Orjiako, and many others, quietly and sincerely. It wasn’t about the cameras; it was about conscience.
I am genuinely surprised that this simple act has become a topic of discussion. As Governor, I always served others whenever we had events. Even now, in private life, I do not have a house help. When guests visit my home, I serve them myself. I live simply, I sweep, I clean, because for me, humility is not a campaign strategy; it is a way of life.
At the Jubilee of Hope, I stayed longer because many of the poor attendees requested that I serve them personally. I could not ignore them. That was the only reason. Otherwise, there was nothing special about what I did. Service is not special, it is expected.
We cannot speak of building a New Nigeria while ignoring the hungry, the forgotten, and the poor. Events like this must not remain symbolic, they must become cultural. Public office holders, business leaders, and everyday citizens must unite in lifting others.
Let us work together to build a country where hope is not seasonal, and dignity is not a privilege, but a right.
A New Nigeria is POssible.
