La Estación Biológica se ubica al pie del volcán Sumaco. Más que un edificio para la ciencia, se planteó como un espacio que fortalece la relación entre investigadores y el bosque, dando inicio a un futuro campus dedicado a la investigación y la formación de biólogos y guardaparques.
La construcción se desarrolló como un proceso colaborativo en el que participaron comuneros, biólogos y arquitectos, integrando conocimientos locales, estrategias ambientales y soluciones constructivas.

539 interlocking discs form the National Museum of Qatar.

Designed by Jean Nouvel, the building takes its shape from desert rose crystals—mineral formations that emerge from sand in arid landscapes.

The discs overlap at different scales and angles, creating a structure that appears to rise from the ground like a giant geological formation.

Completed in Doha in 2019, it is one of the world’s most distinctive museum buildings.
