Busted for export smuggling!🚭
Working hand-in-hand with HSI, CBP Laredo intercepted an illegal cigarette shipment violating 19 U.S.C. § 1595(a)(d) (exportation contrary to law) and 18 U.S.C. § 554 (export smuggling). Bogus paperwork couldn't hide the illicit cargo.📷

📣 JUST ANNOUNCED: @CBP is extending the compliance date for new int’l mail requirements by 90 days, to 1/20/27. 

 Importers and brokers now have extra time to prepare for Entry Type 13 advance data requirements. This will allow filers to update their processes, while minimizing interruptions to international mail for Americans.
