@AvantiWestCoast when will easter rail works likely be announced? Hoping to travel to family (eus-man) that weekend but don't want to make plans that i have to cancel!
@AvantiWestCoast hi, this is the second time in a month that I've been undercompensated for a delay on your trains (despite entering all correct information). I'm going to have to appeal but why does this keep happening?
My @thameswater bill is now higher than my gas and electricity - combined! - after TWO bill increases since March. I contacted them to ask and explain flatmate has moved out and all they said was i can apply for a refund if needed later on. How is this OK @MartinSLewis?
The #NHS recently announced a review into the health of LGBT+ people. While this is a welcome development, says Deborah Fenney in her blog, the review will need to lead to specific measurable actions. Read more ⬇️ https://t.co/Ot6Bt8wcL6
📣 We’re looking for case studies for our Digital health and care conference on 15 July that showcase how digital innovation and technology are transforming health and care.

We condemn in the strongest terms the arrest of my friends Mahmoud Muna and Ahmad Muna, Palestinian booksellers and owners of Jerusalem’s Educational Bookshop, by Israel’s occupation authorities.
The arrests of Mahmoud and Ahmad is a stark reminder of the ongoing campaign to censor knowledge, stifle free speech and information that challenges Israel’s occupation of Palestine and in this case, Israel’s illegal colonial occupation of #Jerusalem and its oppressive measures in the city. Freedom of expression is a cornerstone of all just societies. There is no genuine peace without the freedom to read, and no freedom to read without booksellers able to carry out their work in safety.
We stand firm in our support of Mahmoud and Ahmad Muna, and all Palestinian detainees, and call on our colleagues and partners in the international community, including the publishing industry and the book trade, in the U.K. and beyond, to join us in calling for their immediate release.
This thread has comments from people who are desperate and suicidal at the news of the latest 'crackdown' on benefits. These kinds of changes are always much more harmful than helpful. It feels like 2010/11 again but worse, because things have already been cut to the bone.
I definitely feel suicidal when thinking about the Labour government taking away my PIP Disability Benefit.
It was a huge amount of effort getting it.
It's the only money that I don't get from my wife.
I often feel as if life isn't worth living under this cruel Labour government.
Does anyone else feel like this?
Really important evidence being given by @FaziletHadi here - the medical model of disability is extremely influential in health care and it's vital medics have an understanding of the social model too, to support and value disabled people's lives. #AssistedDying
“I find the NHS one of the organisations and institutions in this country that is least comfortable with disability. I could get better equality, probably, at my railway station” - Fazilet talks of the culture shift needed in the NHS and safeguarding concerns this raises
In other words, somebody claiming PIP (or the old DLA, which somehow I'm still personally on) can work full time and have savings and still claim. Indeed this is not a bad thing, in many cases, it's essential, the support that some disabled people get through PIP...3
@AvantiWestCoast struggling to buy an off peak return eus-man 30jan, return 2feb, on your site. Keep getting an error about no seat reservations available but no sign trains are limited availability - any ideas?
@AvantiWestCoast trying to change an advance ticket on app and getting "not possible due to technical issues" - any ideas? Hoping to travel on 11.15 man-eus
