To the @Creighton Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) and instructional design centers across higher ed, THANK YOU for getting us moving, keeping us going, and helping us faculty folks support our students from afar. This is your Super Bowl-we will make you proud #AcademicChatter
I know all of you teaching online will rise up with patience and creativity. When we get to the other side of this situation (and we will), then we’ll talk about how we continued to teach & learn in a pandemic. It won’t be perfect, but we'll get through! Message me if I can help.
Tip 3 for teaching online for the first time: There will likely be many, many people working/studying/streaming from home. You may have reduced internet speeds that may cause some apps to be shaky (e.g., Zoom). Your students may experience that, too.
Tip 2 for teaching online for the first time: Your students who have not done much in online learning will be learning the system, too, as well as potentially taking care of family members, dealing with financial issues, may become ill themselves, etc.
Tip 1 for teaching online for the first time from someone who has been teaching online for 13 years (F2F almost 30) and is running a teaching & learning center: This is an emergency situation—just do the basics within your learning management system. Do fancy stuff later.
Pitchers and catchers have returned to work, and all you need to hear right now are the words of @SalvadorPerez15:
"Baseball is back."

Proud of Creighton's nursing student, Alyssa Kendrick, presenting her IPE research at the Collaborating Across Borders VII conference in Indianapolis this week!
Highlight of the CABVII conference: Dr. Amy Edmondson, author of Extreme Teaming, and the Fearless Organization, among other books. Such useful research!
We are excited to announce our partnership with @USACAPOC to develop the next generation of Monuments Men and Women! Together we will move forward in protecting and preserving cultural property in armed conflict. https://t.co/XzXG0EoYvR
