@jokuwildlife@CambsBirdClub Likely still there this morning (buff bird seen from distance) on the Green Murphy compound fence but also likely to be using the churned bare earth inside the rail station workings
Willow Tit right on county boundary Gors Llwyn between Glamorgan and Brecon. SN853109. I have not recorded one here before though visits very occasional @GOWEROS1
One of at least two fledged Willow Tit this morning in Glasfynydd forest at Usk reservoir. Wood Warbler drowned out my attempts to record their contact calls
Caught this Tawny Owl napping next to a minor road today in Bannau Brycheiniog SN93. Closest I can recall getting to one. Also a calling Tawny chick nearby and that seems rare this year.
@bardseyben@BTO_Cymru@RSPBScience@TimBirchWild @RobThomas14 Tendency for increasing usage of Larch or Spruce plantations in VC42 was noted around the time of the second BTO breeding Atlas (~1990). So this has been going on for a while.
@StephMurphy66 My Epynt BBS has live hand grenade ranges on opposite hill. Hell of a thud even at 2 miles range. Last year's 5th section was lost in smoke grenades and a mock firefight after I'd passed section 10
A squeal and a plop and I thought I’d disturbed a tussle between a mink and a rat/vole on a small stream in Bassingbourn. Turned out to be a Water Rail. A record that would have been lost without thermal as froze in thick bank cover @CambsBirdClub
Not every overflow hydrated poorly maintained flat roof wetland in Cambridgeshire has a regular Grey Wagtail. Probably the most reliable visitor to this Bassingbourn garden this winter. @CambsBirdClub
