Tomorrow is both the last day before Fall Break & my last day teaching the amazing Kindergarten friends in Room 2. I will always remember the learning we shared and the memories we made โค๏ธ
Thank you families for all of your kind works and excitement as I start this new chapter!
Kindergarten friends learned about Still Life Drawing.
We use our artist eyes to look closely at the shape, size and colour of the object we are drawing ๐
After carefully drawing our apples, we used watercolour pencil crayons to add colour.
We made applesauce today!
We followed a recipe, read the ingredients and followed the directions.
Students brought the recipe home so you can try making it with your family!
A delicious autumn treat ๐
We visited the Learning Commons for the first time last week. Remember to bring your library book back each week to pick a new one! We will get our new books on Thursday.
*Please send books back to school in their green bags ๐
Today we spent time outside in our โNature Classroomโ.
We sorted leaves by looking at their colours. ๐
Some were yellow, some were brown and some were both!
Kindergarten friends noticed that their snacks have important information on them!
We found the โNo Nutsโ sign on many of our snacks today.
What does this sign mean?
Why is this sign important?
We were on the lookout for EXIT signs in our school building today.
We counted more than 10!
Ask your child:
What does EXIT mean?
Where can you find EXIT signs?
Tweet us a picture of the next EXIT sign you see!
Reminder ๐จ
Early dismissal Thursday and no school Friday!
Looking forward to meeting with all families at conferences on Thursday from 4-7:30 pm or Friday from 8:00-11:30 am
Black day was yesterday!
White day was today!
We made black & white marble art.
Did you choose black paper with white paint, or white paper with black paint?
๐จ Reminder: Individual picture day tomorrow!! Wear your best smile.
๐ธThe photographer has suggested students not wear green clothing as the photos are taken using a green screen.
Yellow day had us exploring lemons ๐
Ask your child to share their experience using their 5 senses:
How do lemons look?
How do lemons feel?
What is the smell of a lemon?
Do lemons make a sound?
How does a lemon taste?
