@HauntedKetch@Hunter_Cherokee She held onto his hand as he turned to left. She quickly brought it up to her lips and gave him a soft kiss on it.
"I won't leave his side. Arthur? Don't leave me behind when it comes to going after the next one."
@HauntedKetch@Hunter_Cherokee She looked up at him, "I know you don't want to command. And I am proud that you are going to take command anyway. At least until she is ready for it back."
@HauntedKetch@Hunter_Cherokee She went to join him, "You know I'm with you every step of the way. And don't you dare beat yourself up about these. Every hunter out there goes with the knowledge that this hunt could be the one they don't come back from."
π
@HauntedKetch@Hunter_Cherokee She gave his hand a gentle squeeze. "I'm trying to figure out when and how to pull her aside and talk to her. I don't think she'll burn the bridge, but I do think right now she is going to see how long she can hold the lighter."
@HauntedKetch@Hunter_Cherokee She didn't react to his harshness knowing it wasn't meant for her.
"I'm not saying I agree with how she is handling this. But also right now is not the time to confront her about it."
π
@HauntedKetch@Hunter_Cherokee She had stood there shocked and stunned as Arthur and Cherokee threw barbs back and forth. Once the medic was done with her back and side and after Cherokee had left, she went over to Arthur.
"Babe?" She said softly as she gently took his hand.
@HauntedKetch@Hunter_Cherokee She stood near Arthur, holding her shirt up as the medic checked her over as well. She too had her eyes over on Randy.
She tried to hide her winces as the gravel was picked out of her road rash.
"Once I'm done here I need to check where you were kicked."
π
@Hunter_Cherokee@HauntedKetch@TheRandyKetch She drove for a bit in silence thinking over everything, trying to figure out what they needed to learn and how they could apply it to the next fight.
After a bit, she looked over at Cherokee. She wanted to say something, anything but she didn't know how to start.
@Hunter_Cherokee@HauntedKetch@TheRandyKetch "And we live to fight another day." She said as she stole a quick glance over to Cherokee.
"There is an emergency med pack under your seat if you can reach it. The thick gauze pads in there might be better than your shirt."
π
@Hunter_Cherokee@HauntedKetch@TheRandyKetch She had ducked down to shield herself from any blowback from the bomb.
"Cherokee! Please just get in the goddamn truck!" She yelled out the window again.
She looked back at the hounds who were stutter-stepping but not leaping out.
@Hunter_Cherokee@HauntedKetch@TheRandyKetch "Cherokee! Cherokee!" She yelled as she watched her walk away from the truck.
Looking in the rearview mirror at the three hounds, seeing them ready, she started the truck.
Turning it around so she was facing the direction to head out.
π
@TheRandyKetch@Hunter_Cherokee@HauntedKetch She had curled up a bit when she heard Arthur tell her to stay hidden. But hearing Cherokee, she looked over.
"Yeah, still breathing." She whispered, coughing and spitting out some blood. She shifted closer to the side near Cherokee.
π
@TheRandyKetch@Hunter_Cherokee@HauntedKetch slamming her down onto the pavement. The air immediately knocked out of her she looked around in a daze. Adar grinned down at her, brought his foot back, and kicked her in the gut. Sending her skidding under her and Arthur's truck.
@TheRandyKetch@Hunter_Cherokee@HauntedKetch First, he cut her off from getting to Arthur, she then adjusted and ran toward where she last saw Cherokee only to be cut off again. Switching in mid-run she went for Randy.
She was almost to him when she felt a hand in her hair yank her back hard,
π
@TheRandyKetch@Hunter_Cherokee@HauntedKetch "Shit, shit, shit. Not again!" She held on as she felt the truck whip around. When it came to a stop she handed Arthur what he needed and got the hell out.
Seeing both Cherokee and Randy open fire she joined them, witnessing the same effects.
