RIVERS STATE POLICE COMMAND
RIVERS POLICE ARREST TWO SUSPECTED ONE-CHANCE ROBBERS
The Rivers State Police Command has recorded another major breakthrough in its sustained crackdown on one-chance syndicates with the arrest of two suspected members of a notorious one chance gang operating within the State.
Following the directives of the Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Police Command, CP Olugbenga Adewole Adepoju, psc, mnips, fcai, operative of the Command arrested the perpetrators of the crime.
The arrested suspects are one Uche Samuel (M), 45 years, from Omunato LGA, Imo State, and one Nkechi Amadi (F), 42 years, from Nekede, Imo State.
During investigation, the suspects confessed to their involvement in the crime. Efforts is ongoing to arrest the other members of the criminal syndicate.
The Commissioner of Police reiterates that the Rivers State Police Command has declared an onslaught against one-chance operators and all violent criminals. He warns that there will be no hiding place and no room for one-chance syndicates or other criminal elements in Rivers State, as the Command will continue to deploy intelligence-driven policing and proactive operations to identify, arrest, and bring offenders to justice.
The Commissioner further assures residents that the Command remains resolute in ensuring the safety and security of all law-abiding citizens. He urges members of the public to remain vigilant and continue to provide credible and timely information that will assist the Police in preventing crime and apprehending criminals.

RIVERS STATE POLICE COMMAND HEIGHTENS SECURITY OPERATIONS AHEAD OF EID-EL-KABIR AND CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATIONS
The Rivers State Police Command, under the proactive leadership of the Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga A. Adepoju, psc, mnips, has intensified security operations and deployed robust safety measures across the State ahead of the forthcoming Eid-el-Kabir and Children’s Day celebrations.
This strategic security initiative is aimed at guaranteeing a peaceful, crime-free, and hitch-free festive period for all residents and visitors across Rivers State.
In line with this commitment, the Command has activated comprehensive operational strategies, including intensified confidence-building patrols, intelligence-led policing, strategic deployment of tactical and conventional personnel, surveillance operations, stop-and-search duties, and enhanced visibility policing in critical locations and other vulnerable areas across the State.
Security presence has also been reinforced around worship centres, recreational facilities, markets, motor parks, highways, and other public spaces expected to witness increased human and vehicular movement during the celebrations.
The Commissioner of Police reassures the good people of Rivers State of the Command’s unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property before, during, and after the festivities. He further urges residents to remain vigilant, peaceful, law-abiding, and cooperative with security agencies to ensure a safe and successful celebration.
Parents and guardians are particularly advised to closely monitor their children during the Children’s Day festivities, while motorists are encouraged to adhere strictly to traffic regulations and avoid reckless driving.
Members of the public are encouraged to promptly report any suspicious persons, movements, or activities to the nearest Police Station or through the Command’s emergency lines.
