The fact is that these are not going to disappear. Any private company can order these because there is no right to privacy in public. The issue that can and must be resolved quickly is how it relates to a it’s constitutionally related to government policy and law enforcement. If they are used properly under the Constitutional authority, there is a public benefit that they can provide. If your car is stolen, a child had been kidnapped or a missing person could be found, having a tool that could provide valuable information in their recover recovery or an investigation that leads to a reduction in crime is a good idea. The government needs to be kept in check from misusing and abusing the system.
