@John_E_Reese To add, major commercial revenue sources are subject to FMV rules.They can't justify "big 6 type" commercial contracts without sustained success to rival those clubs. They can't have that without top players. They can't keep top players without revenue. Vicious circle

@Im_RobM @MitchellRob738 Limited squad. Had high end talent in specific areas but Gordon was our most effective 9, we had a very unstable back 4 with many aging players playing significant mins, V poor goalkeeper.

@danny5590 @Im_RobM @MitchellRob738 Agree this could be an issue. But SCR is more than just pot of money to buy players. It is about being able to sustainably match top wages. We can't pay 200k+ a week across our squad and so it is tough to compete for top end talents.

@DougieCritchley @adzzy1994 Places are irrelevant as Tonali to Newcastle illustrates. It is the wage packet that will dictate where these players move and Sunderland cannot compete on that level yet. (Nor can Newcastle!)

@CWeatherspoon_ Direct consequence of PSR/SCR! Newcastle unable to retain top talent due to revenue gap and therefore wage gap, forced sale of key pieces and Howe not able to "go again" redevelop all these players only to sell them again in 3-4 years.

@CWeatherspoon_ If they iterate this process repeatedly, is there really any chance of convergence? I perceive this as a bridging stage until commercial and other revenues catch up but can they realistically converge when the players used to boost revenues keep going to the big 6?

@JakeJackmann No doubt he will excel in such a role. Was a great 9 for us but lacked end product and final 3rd creativity. With Raphinha and Yamal providing this, it is a much better platform for Gordon to thrive

@John_E_Reese Tottenham did change managers like 4 times this season. Can advocate for a manager change but not sure Tottenham are the example to hang ur hat on

@Jake_armstrong9 Maybe it's just how I enjoy to watch games etc.

I would much prefer to watch a 3-2 or 4-3 than a 1-0 and I think the PL needs to think about how it can alter the rules to incentivise the optimal product. American sports do it a lot and I think the PL should try it.

@LewisBowden_ 100% - can we now have a convo on PS tho that yes it may be a good style to win games but it is a dreadful product and the PL needs to do something to actively discourage it!!
