🗣️Hey Justin Fields Haters! This is for you!🗣️
I can confidently say that it's a 60/40 split on The #Bears fanbase ATM wanting to stick with Fields one more season or draft a QB with the #1 overall in 2024.
Here is something that may make them happy;
-Ryan Poles traded the #1 overall pick LAST year for DJ Moore, a 2023 1st (Darnell Wright), and a 2024 1st rounder. (Oh look, the #1 overall pick again.)
-Poles in both of his drafts as moved picks up or down. If I was a true betting man, I am putting a lock in that he does it again. And with the #1 overall, for sure again if someone comes with a haul.
-If a team needs a QB (NE, TB, *WSH, LV, etc.), they're not only going to give a haul, but they're in a rebuilding stage as a franchise.
-If they're rebuilding, super rare for a team to completely turn around after one pick in the same year. So, what does that mean? Like Carolina, you could get a high pick.
-Poles could have gone with ANYONE this past off-season when trading the 1st overall. Why CAR? Cause he know they'd SUCK this year, giving him the chance for another #1 overall.
-With Poles LIKELY to trade the #1 overall again, he will trade with a team that gives a high chance of a top-3 pick in 2025, since they're rebuilding.
-Poles BUILDS everything he needs from OL, DL, WR, and staff this off-season. Then, JF1 for EVERYONE, including Fields himself, has zero excuses for slow progression.
-And if Fields doesn't work out, Poles has 2 first rounders AGAIN in 2025, one hopefully being a top-3 to get the QB everyone wants, and is a plug-and-play their rookie year to take this team to the promise land.
Every year, there is a "generational" QB in the draft, but you don't hear a generational WR as often. I want MHJ, and I think Fields is a play-caller and one more legit WR (MHJ) away from being the guy we have always known and want him to be.
So Fields doesn't work out next year? You got a stacked team in 2025 with drafting your QB to finish it.
Done. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. 🐻⬇️
Last thing I tweet about the Bears before I move on to betting college/week 2
If Justin Fields isn’t the guy I don’t think anyone ever will be for this team
He’s the most talented QB prospect the team has ever had. It’s on the people in that building if he fails
