Under capitalism, socialists are free to build socialism.

Under socialism, capitalists aren’t free to build anything.

Nothing stops a group of socialists pooling their money, forming a company, and splitting every wage and every pound of profit perfectly equally.... Or to donate all profit to the government.

It’s legal. It’s easy. Owning the means of production is as simple as setting up a company.

Marx wrote his manifesto before the invention of limited liability companies. Back then “seize the factory” meant seizing it from the handful of families who could afford one.

That argument expired the day anyone could start a company with limited liability, raise investment and hire who they want.

Socialists are free to lead by example and demonstrate their system works. They can out-recruit, out-motivate, out-build and out innovate based on their ideas if they like. It would prove the philosophy works. Capitalism will happily host their experiment.

The fact that nobody does this tells you a lot.

Democrats believe that healthcare is a "universal right" and therefore they believe that illegal immigrants are entitled to free healthcare.

Gavin Newsom has been one of the biggest proponents of providing healthcare to illegal immigrants. Newsom even gave it a try in California in 2022. How'd it work out?

Newsom's program quickly went from costing taxpayers about $2 billion a year to costing taxpayers $11 billion a year and in 2025 Newsom froze the program. Newsom then announced that illegal immigrants would have to pay for their "moral right" to healthcare.

The laundering network: Michel used straw donors to secretly route foreign cash into Obama’s 2012 campaign, bypassing federal election laws designed to prevent foreign influence in American elections.

The verdict: A federal jury convicted him on 10 criminal counts, including conspiracy, money laundering, witness tampering, and acting as an unregistered agent of a foreign government.

In other words: Barack Obama colluded with a foreign power to illegally influence and rig the 2012 presidential election in his favor.

What’s remarkable about this plan is how nakedly obvious it is:

1. Control rent so landlord would be financially suicidal to keep putting costs into buildings.

2. Create a suite of new costs, fees, and penalties under the guise of populist progress.

3. Blame LANDLORDS and not the LAWS for sensibly not incurring those costs.

4. Seize enormous real estate portfolios and give them to select NGOs with immense political power.

5. Use that enormous political power, now backed by an outlandish treasure trove, to further radical agenda.

6. Malign anyone who sees this for what it is (surreptitious, back door communism) as a paranoid, inflammatory reactionary.

And when the smoke settles, and the circus fed, clapping lemmings are still picking up the pieces and asking how this happened, the government would have just made entire swaths of private property in western civilization’s last remaining city, inescapably:

- He found that we gave $4.5 million of taxpayer money to combat misinformation in Kazakhstan
- He found that we gave $10 million, USAID did, of meals to an al-Qaeda-linked terrorist group called the Nusra Front
- Mr. Musk found that we gave $7.9 million of taxpayer money to a project that would teach Sri Lankan journalists to avoid binary gendered language. (The USAID took 8 million bucks and gave it to a bunch of journalists in Sri Lanka to teach them how to avoid binary gendered language)
- USAID gave $1.5 million to promote LGBT advocacy in Jamaica
- They gave $1.5 million to rebuild the Cuban media ecosystem
- They gave $1.5 million for quote, art for inclusion of people with disabilities in Belarus
- Another $3.9 million for LGBT causes in Macedonia
- $8.3 million for equity and inclusion education in Nepal

I am torn as well and appreciate the core thought you have, I’m just not sure the advancement of technology can be stopped or that government could make any pure and meaningful difference given the bloat, corruption, and lack of talent and transparency.
