WOW! Rep. Jesús García comes out swinging: "You're one of the worst attorney generals in our history and an instrument of Donald Trump's lawless authoritarian agenda, and I'm glad the American people are seeing who you are."

I believe the Government is acting recklessly in moving towards approving the new Chinese mega-embassy. I think this will prove to be a major failure and, frankly, a disaster for the UK. It would place an even larger Chinese presence right in the heart of London. China already has an embassy here, and this would significantly expand that footprint, alongside its existing consulate. The consequence of all this is increased interference, growing transnational pressure, and the steady creep of sanctions and influence through investment from a country that routinely subsidises its industries in breach of international rules. In my view, the Government is mad to proceed down this path.
Stand with local residents and make your voice heard. Saturday, 17th January at 2pm, join us outside the Royal Mint Court, London, to protest the proposed Chinese mega-embassy. The proposal would create one of the largest embassies in the world and has been surrounded by secrecy, controversy, and serious national security concerns.

I’ve tried to be fair but if we now face tax hikes & cuts to public services to fill a £20bn black hole in the public finances we must have an honest discussion about the negative impact of Brexit & the role it has played in creating it
