“You are not alone!” I told military members questioning the morality of their deployment to Chicago. @VetsAboutFace can connect you with veterans like me who chose to resist. Read more from @Suntimes

The Oglala Sioux Tribe strenuously opposes a possible visit to Mount Rushmore by Pres. Trump on July 3 and the federal plan to have a fireworks display there.
@SaskiaPopescu@GHS_Network@CDCgov@WHOWPRO@DeptofWar You’re collaborating with the @DeptofWar & claiming to care about global health while they’re bragging about killing people and destroying life-sustaining infrastructure. Did you not think twice when you typed “war”? How does supporting war advance health?
It is a good symbolic step for Ireland to ban two of the most fanatic ministers in Israel's genocidal government.
When will the Irish government, however, comply with the ICJ rulings and end its shameful complicity in Israel's genocide, apartheid and military occupation against the Palestinian people?
This is not just an ethical and legal obligation, it is what the absolute majority of the people of Ireland demand.

Folks forget that the majority of Palestinian families endure death, torment, and injustice year after year after year. Here is more on the family whose baby was shot and killed in Hebron.

On how the Palestinian context is buried in misleading reporting
"It's not about giving a history lesson every time you write an article," says @AssalRad.
It's about ensuring historical context of the Palestinian Nakba is already known and understood, so that when new violations, atrocities, and today genocide occur, people are aware of how we got here.

“The first thing anyone noticed in Theodosia was her smile. We’d always see her laughing.”
This Lebanese student was killed by Israel just after finishing her final exams. Theodosia Karam is one of over 3,500 people killed by Israel’s attacks on Lebanon since March.
“I joined the military at 19 because it was my only way out of poverty.”
Demi Palecek, an active duty National Guardsmen and member of @vetsaboutface, urges those to "honor the fallen" on Memorial Day by rejecting endless cycles of war and saying "No" to Trump's anti-immigrant agenda.
Palecek has continued to protest wars and ICE terror despite facing repercussions from National Guard leadership, and she encourages other active duty soldiers to resist and speak against illegal orders.
Palecek spoke at today’s annual Memorial Day anti-war action in Chicago.

Today, I went to a school—a school holding so much sorrow that if it were distributed among all the people of the earth, it would suffice them. Every single child in this school is the sole survivor of their family; a family that was entirely wiped out, a family annihilated by Israel.
I was among them today. One of the staff members told me that for every 15 children, there is an "alternative mother." I paused at this term; perhaps it is the first time in my life I have ever heard it. I wondered, what does an "alternative mother" even mean?! Because I know all too well that the only thing that can never be replaced is a mother. You might find a friend who compensates for a brother, but a mother’s instinct toward her child is something no nature in this life can ever replace.
Every time I try to think about it, I feel like I'm losing my mind. I started joking and playing with the children, trying with all my might not to show my tears to them. They carry a vast void within them, a void we strive so hard to fill even a tiny fraction of.
With every passing moment of my life, I curse Israel even more than the moment before. Every worker I saw in the school, I asked the exact same question: "Is there absolutely no one left alive from their family?" And the answer was always, "No, there is no one. Israel killed them all."
I out with my eyes streaming with tears. Curse this wretched world.
I still remember that day when I passed by the tank, raising my hands. Next to me was a female soldier, her eyes bulging with a malice that could cover the world. In her hand was a weapon I was seeing for the first time, and she was screaming foul Arabic words, cursing the Divine, though she couldn't pronounce the words correctly.
I thought to myself then: What does this woman want? Does she want to kill me? Does she want to humiliate me?
At that moment, I wanted to tell her: 'Shoot me in the head, kill me.'
But I held back when I looked behind me and saw the children and women being dragged like animals; I didn't want to cause them any more harm.
So I walked. I walked, carrying a wound in my heart that even the greatest doctors could never heal—a wound I am afraid to speak of even to myself. I wish I had been killed that day instead of continuing my life; a life I feel so deeply ashamed of. Whenever I want to hold my head high, I remember that day, and I lower it.
Forty one years ago today, May 13, 1985, Philadelphia police bombed the home of the MOVE Organization‼️ The assault resulted in the murder of 6 adults, 5 children and a number of animals. The fire spread leaving 61 houses burnt down and 250 people homeless. Never Forget!
Imagine thinking that human beings must suffer and kill and die in whatever numbers are necessary so that a state, an artificial creature meant to serve human beings, can live forever. An idea no one could have accepted until about 1910-1920 when fascists in Italy invented it
