Segmental duplications are challenging to detect. We (@DaganLab) developed SegMantX, a local alignment chaining tool to detect diverged #duplications. Applied to enterobacterial plasmids, it uncovers MGE's role in #plasmid#evolution & #antibiotic resistance amplification. ⬇️
