@BernieSanders I have supported you on several positions and but this post is a bit hypocritical given that you have come out against the U.S selling anti-missile defense weapons. Come on Bernie, much of the antisemitic rhetoric is coming from your political allies. #StandWithIsrael
@BernieSanders If you believe in a higher minimum wage that’s fine. However, stop playing the blame game and get it done. Work together. Compromise and do your job. There is always common ground. Realize when you point a finger there are three more pointing back at you.
@ninisoy@dontpanicdeanna@BernieSanders It’s all moot at this point but frankly I wonder if you realize that the $600 was added to unemployment. Typically, unemployment is a percentage of their previous earnings, with no taxes taken out, and this was then added. That said, most don’t get $2400 per month take home.
@dontpanicdeanna@BernieSanders This is not about income inequality. This is not about making $600 per week. This is about adding $600 to unemployment benefits per week. Should people get paid more for unemployment? Yes. Should they get paid more than they were making before they were laid off???
@dontpanicdeanna@BernieSanders I (as would most) would have no problem agreeing that $1000 per month is not sufficient BUT this topic was about the +$600 “boost” that was in place which adds up to $3400 per month(with your $1000). This means $40,800 annual. Really? How many do you know make that?
@dontpanicdeanna@BernieSanders Using your math, that would be $250 + $600 with the original benefit suggested. That would be $850 x 4 = $3400 per month take home. I don’t know many making that.
@NotUrBbyFather@BernieSanders I understand this. I never said that you shouldn’t get benefits. I completely agree and support that. I stated that saying $600 plus benefits is the issue. I hope you get your benefits ASAP.
