@spoonfulofhan This post, right after sometime literally screamed at me because I'm disabled and they're flat out jealous that I'm taking covid precautions. I will trade you, I would love to not be disabled and stuck here doing this.
@kimobra@iamharaldur It's the blue MAGAs who haven't done any research though. The folks pointing out the two parties are virtually the same are the people that are actually paying attention and looking at reality instead of gobbling up all blue propaganda uncritically without question.
@theBrianaMills Also: wearing a mask as a "leftist" doesn't give you a pass to be ableist in other ways! Yelling at disabled people for taking precautions & calling them "privileged" for having to live like this just to stay alive isn't acceptable just because you mask!
@GeauxGabrielle Literally had a Kamala supporter who lost their mother to COVID claim that removing all precautions was done during Trump's regime. They blocked me over it, after reducing me being disabled & isolating for 5 years and losing everything to me being "just sad you didn't get a job."
I'm so tired of people treating me like my life is so cushy and easy because I'm taking these covid precautions. I want more than anything for it to be something else, but I have absolutely no choice. It's not a privilege to be caged. It's not privilege to be erased.
Friend: I have COVID & can't get paxlovid.
Me: Oh no, rest as much as you can. π«
Them: 5 solid minutes of voice messages w/ them literally SCREAMING at me... For being immunocomromised and taking covid precautions.
As if deciding between buying masks and buying food is a privilege because I have no choice but to buy masks.
As if freelance DMing at poverty level pay is a privilege since I can do it from home but it was my only option after being laid off.
It's not privilege that I have had to give up everything and have to isolate like this.
It's not privilege to constantly be worrying about what's gonna happen if I get hurt and need stitches or surgery.
It's not privilege to be disabled during a pandemic.
