3 Practice Mode Keys to becoming a better player in Madden and/or College Football 💪
1. Use Two Controllers
This will allow you to set up meta plays or specific offenses/defenses. We want to practice against the things we see the most.
2. Be Intentional
Don’t just go into practice mode and do random things while you’re in there. Have a plan, stick to that plan, and be efficient with your time. You can get a lot done in a shortened period of time if you’re intentional.
3. Be Consistent
Just as it is with any sport/skill/craft in the world, the more you work at it, the better you become. If you’re serious about improving at these games, practice mode is something you want to spend time in.
5 Things To Work On Before #Madden27#CFB27
1. Pocket Presence
2. Passing Concepts - direct isn't great in 27
3. Switch Stick - even applying this to man/match
4. Clock Management/end of half scenarios
5. Small Pass Leading Streaks vs. Cover 0
Madden 27 Beta Final Review
- Offense is much harder this year. Good defenders who can mix zone/man hybrid shells are going to excel.
- Madden feels so much better without QB Playmaker and Conductor.
- 4-man loop actually loops.
- The run game is weird. Players feel like they’re running in mud, but offensive linemen will randomly pancake people.
- QBs don’t make every deep throw with perfect accuracy and placement anymore, which I actually think is a good thing.
- Quarters gets bombed pretty easily.
- DBs don’t animate enough, which causes more aggressive catches.
Overall, I’m excited. This feels like it could be a much more balanced game.
“I’m still the United States Champion. I’m still Hollywood Trick. I’m still Mr. Lemon Pepper Stepper. Never mind who you thought I was. I’m Trick James, b*tch!”

IF YOU ARE TRYING TO PREPARE FOR COLLEGE FOOTBALL 27 DO THESE THINGS🏈
1. If you are going to be a passer you want to work on passing consistently, and taking your drags and checkdowns. With the insert of macros people will be able to get really adjusty on defense and blitzing is going to be way better so build up confidence in making timely reads.
2. Find bunch defense, almost every good playbook has a bunch, and full bunches with stock bomb combos. During this time I would be trying to play lab games against people running bunch.
3. Figure out what zones play what, and what they don’t, also figure out what routes pull certain zones, this will be critical to help with the added adjustments people can make on defense as well.
I don't think people realize how much Macros are about to change Madden.
For years, offenses could quicksnap before defenses got set.
Now defenders can save entire setups and activate them instantly.
This might be the biggest defensive buff of ALL TIME!

Luke Falk shared a Mike Leach story that stopped me cold:
Two kids. One rich. One poor.
Every training camp, Coach Leach told his team about these 2 kids.
The rich kid has two choices.
Get soft. Get entitled. Expect everything handed to him because he was handed more.
Or take the resources, the coaching, the opportunities, and compound them into something greater.
The poor kid has two choices too.
Say nobody gave him anything. Blame the world. Make his circumstances the reason he never became what he could have been.
Or outwork everyone in the room.
Luke said the locker room had both. Kids from wealth. Kids from nothing. Kids with every advantage. Kids who scraped for every inch.
Same choice for all of them.
Ownership or victimhood.
Fuel or excuse.
The rich kid can waste the head start or build on it.
The poor kid can drown in the deficit or weaponize it.
Greatness doesn't come from where you start.
It comes from which kid you choose to feed.
