Milestone moment for our team @MayoFLOrtho where we performed the first Robotic-assisted shoulder replacement in North and Central Florida.
Grateful to my mentors, industry partners, and OR team for their support as we advance treatment options for shoulder arthritis.
Honored to share followup on a complex shoulder instability case of 34% GBL treated with an arthroscopic anatomic glenoid reconstruction + revision Remplissage.
Fortunately our patient achieved sustained stability and meaningful functional improvement while sparing the Subscap.
Honored to present a novel and reproducible technique for robotic total shoulder replacement.
The first in the world to use a haptic guided burr for preparation of the glenoid. Excited to share this step forward in precision & innovation of rTSA.

📚 Hot off the press: Dr. Erick Marigi’s New Publication! 📚
We are so proud of one of our newest members of the team. Dr. @DMarigsMD has brought an incredible set of talents to our table.
His most recent research focuses on reverse total shoulder arthroplasties, which have become increasingly utilized and are the most common type of shoulder replacement performed in many countries across the world. However, complications can still occur.
With over 30 different commercially available #RSA systems, this study utilized a game-theory-based machine learning analysis to acquire a better understanding of the interactions between #implantdesign, patient-specific factors, and surgical complications.
Overall, the authors found that patient-specific risk factors (smoking, prior surgery, instability) had a more substantial effect than implant design configurations on #surgicalcomplications after rTSA. However, certain implant features (medialized glenoid, inlay, higher neck shaft angle) appeared to be associated with a higher odd of surgical complications.
This research highlights the importance of careful #preoperativeplanning that includes consideration of individual patient factors and the selection of implants with ideal features to mitigate the risk for surgical complications.
Check out his full publication here ➡️ https://t.co/oTPNUoFIN3
Help us congratulate Dr. Marigi on his success! 🙌
