@TonyD2705@MagaGrunt1 And it has been tried. Poor people on welfare are not big drug users. So you test a bunch of them, spending $30 to $300 per person per test, and around $100 in staff, doctor, and admin time. You find 1 in 1000 test positive. It is a pure waste of money.
@MikeBales That’s absolute crap. I think you are trying to distract from the fact that Trump won’t visit soldiers wounded in his Iran war. https://t.co/S400iddjDC
@tedcwagner@robinmonotti I am old enough to have learned Geosynclinal Theory, which preceded Plate Tectonics. I was student of geology as the consensus changed.
@tedcwagner@robinmonotti Sure. Because until sea floor spreading at mid ocean ridges was discovered, there was no viable mechanism to move continents. Plate tectonics was recognized and within a few years became the scientific consensus.
@12th_tim You minimize the importance of racism in the political shift in the South. Republicans had tried all those economic, crime, and family values arguments ever since 1932 and they never got much of a foothold with it. What worked was racism, which does not have to be overt.
