@Franklin_Graham Praying for you, but also knowing that when a door is shut... especially for what's right, God always opens another door. Praying for your time waiting. Trust Him. 🙏💝
From my church:
Church Family,
It is with deep sadness that we share the news that Charlie Kirk, a Christian speaker and leader, has died after being shot earlier today at Utah Valley University.
As followers of Christ, we grieve this tragic loss, yet we do not grieve as those without hope. God’s Word reminds us that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8). Please lift up Charlie’s family, his loved ones, and the many touched by his ministry in prayer. Let us also pray for God’s peace and protection over our nation in this difficult time.
We cling to the resurrection of Jesus Christ—our sure and certain hope—that Charlie now lives in Christ for all eternity. As Paul declared, “Death, where is your sting?” Through the power of Christ’s resurrection, Charlie is now in the presence of Jesus in paradise. And let us always be comforted by the firm fact that no matter what: Jesus always wins in the end.
Lord Jesus Have Mercy,
Pastor X
WATCH: Former U.S. Rep. Jason Chaffetz, who was at the Kirk event, says he wants America to know that the last thing Charlie talked about was love and Jesus Christ.
Chaffetz was visibly broken...but said this was too important not to share.
“I want his wife and the country to know that the last question he took, the last thing he talked about to people in Utah—thousands of people that wanted to come hear him—is that his message was one of the love, of Jesus Christ, of his belief in prayer.”
“And he talked about that from his heart.”
“And you can feel it.”
