Everything That Happened at the Avengers: Doomsday SXSW Event

The Russo Brothers held a private Latveria-themed event with references to Doctor Doom's history hidden throughout the venue.

Some of the references included 👇🏻

• Fortunov – The royal bloodline of Latveria
• Cynthia Von Doom – Doctor Doom's mother
• Zefiro – The Romani tribe connected to Doom's family history
• Hassenstadt – The capital city of Latveria
• Rapprochement – A Latverian festival of reconciliation

The event was completely private, with no phones or recordings allowed.

We also got some interesting comments from Joe Russo:

• He described Doomsday as "Phase Zero" and said it starts something completely new.
• He claimed the film is being built from scratch and does not rely on the previous saga.
• Doomsday is still being edited and will continue in post-production for months.
• Secret Wars is already in pre-production.
• For now, Doomsday and Secret Wars are expected to be the Russo Brothers' final MCU films.

Meanwhile, writer Stephen McFeely revealed that a creative idea for Doomsday completely revived the project and opened up new possibilities for the story.
