BREAKING: CROOK! Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito gets caught raking in MILLIONS of dollars from fossil fuel profits — even as he hands down rulings in favor of oil companies.

It's high time that we impeached this gussied up gangster...

According to bombshell financial disclosures, Alito and his wife made up to $2.9 million from fossil fuel interests between 2005 and 2024, with the lowest estimate still sitting at a jaw-dropping $400,000.

This is worse than insider trading because Alito directly controls the laws that affect these companies. There is no world in which a man as mercenary and self-serving as this would vote against companies that are putting money directly into his bloated pockets.

Not only has Alito repeatedly voted in favor of fossil fuel companies in the past, but right now the court is preparing to rule on the question of whether or not states can hold oil companies accountable for damage inflicted by climate change, which they have long been aware of and systematically obfuscated.

Care to guess how Alito might rule?

“You might have real appreciation for how that industry has helped make it possible for you to perhaps buy a second home on the water, or live a [certain] lifestyle,” said Lisa Graves, co-founder of Court Accountability which released the analysis.

The case involves Suncor Energy and Exxon and since those are not the energy companies that Alito holds stock in, he is not required to recuse himself under the Supreme Court's outdated ethics rules. Of course, if Suncor and Exxon win their bid to shield themselves from climate lawsuits, it will establish a precedent that will then shield other oil companies, including those that Alito has invested in. Profits will boom.

“A reasonable person would think if you’re invested in the industry that could benefit from the outcome of a lawsuit, then you could personally stand to benefit from the outcome, even if you don’t hold the stock in the specific company that happens to be the named plaintiff,” said Graves.

This is the same Alito who accepted blatant bribes from billionaire Paul Singer in the form of a private-jet trip up to Alaska for a luxury fishing trip. He's not even bothering to hide his graft at this point. Alito is living high on the hog while handing down rulings that wreck our planet, undermine our democracy, and set the stage for fascism.

He must be impeached and the court expanded!

Our hearts go out to the family, colleagues, and friends of Appomattox County Deputy Burlie W. Duvall III, who died in the line of duty yesterday evening. Deputy Duvall and another deputy were heading home when they stopped out to help at the scene of a motor vehicle crash in Campbell County. While on scene, a tractor trailer swerved to avoid the wreck and struck Deputy Duvall resulting in his death. The deputy leaves behind a wife and three children.
