See, Hindus care about law. They believe in the Constitution. That's why Hindus organized a peaceful protest rally demanding justice(the video).

But, in another case, Muslims became violent. They attacked police. They lynched an innocent Hindu man to death. They set ablaze police car. Because they don't care about law and order.

শুনে রাখুন, নতুন পশ্চিমবঙ্গে যেমন ধর্ষণকারী, নারী ও শিশুদের নির্যাতনের মতো ঘৃণ্য অপরাধের সঙ্গে যুক্ত ব্যক্তিদের রেয়াত করা হবে না, কঠোরতম শাস্তি দেওয়া হবে, ঠিক তেমনই বর্তমান সরকারের আমলে কোনো নিষ্পাপ, নিরপরাধীকে পিটিয়ে মারার অপরাধে যুক্ত সকল অপরাধীদেরও ভারতীয় ন্যায় সংহিতার বিধান অনুসারে আইনি ব্যবস্থার মধ্যে এনে কঠিনতম শাস্তি দেওয়ার ব্যবস্থা এই সরকার করবে। ভিড়ের আড়ালে লুকিয়ে থেকে সংঘবদ্ধ হয়ে অপরাধ ঘটানোর দিন শেষ। আইনি উপায়ে এমন অপরাধীদের শেষ দেখে ছাড়বে এই নতুন সরকার।

₹3000 is not the issue. When one will get, another will not, they'll start gossiping & it strikes of the feeling of being left out & being betrayed. BJP supporters equally don't deserve the harassment. The ₹3000 X 12 X 5 — ₹180,000 is the promised amount of the full tenure. You can say wait till next month but people won't listen. Its now ₹6000 shortfall for many & people are becoming frustrated. This emotional aspect of politics one has to understand instead of being hostile.

In another school in Bengal, butter naan and potato curry for Mid Day Meal. No Eggs. But yes BJP is keeping track. When ISCKON will step in, we will equally share videos. With children, there shall be no compromise on anything.

There must be a reason for the Govt to suggest an alternative to the present mid day meal scheme. There are complaints of corruption and poor quality meals being provided in the present system. Are muslims complaining about ISKCON meals in other parts of India ?

এটাকে অবশ্যই একটা গঠনমূলক সমালোচনার দৃষ্টিভঙ্গিতে দেখা উচিত,কলকাতা ইসকনের সহ-সভাপতি রাধারমণ দাস নিজেই বলছেন যে বানানো খাবার প্রথমে ভগবানের উদ্দেশ্যে ভোগ নিবেদন করা হয় তারপরে সেটি পাঠানো হয়,ভগবানের উদ্দেশ্যে নিবেদিত ভোগ অর্থাৎ পরে যেটি প্রসাদ হিসেবে বিবেচিত হয় সেটা মুসলমান ছাত্র বা ছাত্রী গ্রহণ করবে তো ? একটু ভেবে দেখবেন। 🙏🙏🙏

The Gaudiya tradition followed by ISKCON was initiated by Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. Srila Prabhupada the founder of ISKCON was a Bengali and all gaudiya bengalis are strict vegetarians. All bengalis are not non vegetarians.

Vegetarian food can also be nutritious and egg can be easily replaced with vegetables providing similar protein and vitamins. Also Annamitra Foundation of ISKCON is providing mid day meals to schools in many other states with comnendable efficiency.

That Sir Doctor Suhrawardy was the uncle of the Butcher Suhrawardy, and he was one who held on to freedom fighter Bina Das and handed her to the British police. He was given his ‘Sir’ title for that very reason that he had betrayed an Indian freedom fighter and saved a British governor!

Your Sir Doctor Suhrawardy was also a Muslim League supporter, and in favour of the ‘two nations’ theory, and later his daughter became a Pakistani politician. Just because he was educated doesn’t mean he was a nationalist. Even Osama bin Laden was an engineer!

Keeping all arguments aside, the name Suhrawardy should have never been used for a Kolkata road because of that name’s role in Direct Action Day riots, and removed right after independence. Any self respecting nation would have done that. But for Congress, Communists, and TMC, the words self-respect and dignity are unknown.

Same situation in Mumbai too. Many of these hawkers are crore pâtis not poor. Law doesn’t allow encroachment on footpath, roads and government land but who will enforce the law?

Lieutenant Colonel Hassan Suhrawardy (1884-1946) was a surgeon and vice-chancellor of Calcutta University. In 1932, he was bestowed knighthood for saving the life of Stanley Jackson from Bina Das. Selected by Muslim League to be a member of the Legislative Assembly, he renounced his knighthood at the call of his party. His daughter became a politician and diplomat in Pakistan. Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy was his nephew. A road named after him in Kolkata during the British Raj days has now been renamed after Gopal Patha. No public place/road in free India should be named after those linked to the Muslim League, no matter how eminent they were in other fields.

In my opinion this decision to rename the road is absolutely correct. The eminent Suhrawardy family of Midnapore were absolutely pro Pakistan. In fact they have disposed off their property in Midnapore/Kolkata and live in Bangladesh/Pakistan.

A historical footnote that often gets lost in contemporary politics:

The road long known as Suhrawardy Avenue in Kolkata was not named after Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy or HS Suhrawardy, the Bengal Premier associated in public memory with the series of tragic and communal events of ‘Direct Action Day’ in 1946. He was later called as the ‘Butcher of Bengal’.

The road was named after his uncle ( mama) , Sir Dr. Hassan Suhrawardy—a distinguished surgeon, academic, Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, and the first Muslim Vice-Chancellor of Calcutta University.

The Calcutta Municipal Corporation named the avenue in April 1933, during Sir Hassan’s tenure as Vice-Chancellor. His family residence, Kashana, stood on the very road that bore his name. He was knighted in 1932 and later renounced the title in 1946.

With the Kolkata Municipal Corporation now renaming the road as Gopal Mukherjee Road in honour of ‘Gopal Patha’, a different chapter of Bengal’s history is being commemorated.

But whatever one’s view of the renaming, the historical record is clear —- Suhrawardy Avenue was originally named after Sir Hassan Suhrawardy, not H.S. Suhrawardy ( Butcher of Bengal).

On Poschim Bongo Diwas, I came across an excellent old speech by Dilip Da @DilipGhoshBJP , probably delivered at a seminar in 2016.

In this speech, he talks about the Partition of Bengal, the violence and killings during that period, and the Great Calcutta Killings. Speaking before a gathering of so-called intellectuals, he even took a direct swipe at CPI(M)'s Bikash Ranjan, calling him "Gorukhor" to his face.

Former Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee and Shri Tapan Ghosh, President of Hindu Samhati, were also present at the event.

Watch till the end, where he says, "One day, we will surely bring a Hindu government to West Bengal." Today, many believe that day is visible on the horizon.

I request everyone to watch it.
