📣 We have an exciting announcement to make!!!
🎓 Our philosophy at the Concussion Corner Academy® is Teach One. Serve Many.
✨ It's been my dream over the last decade to launch a mission-driven educational company seeking to change educational outcomes with research 1/
27,000 New Yorkers lost their SNAP benefits due to cruel cuts from the federal government. If you’re one of them, New York City is here to help.
As of October 1st, you can re-enroll for SNAP benefits. But there are new rules. Call 718-SNAP-NOW or visit https://t.co/wpmvamG9dO for help re-enrolling and to understand what’s changed.
While Washington turns its back on working Americans, New York is here for you. Because everyone deserves to put food on their table.
As a leader, you can ask, "Do the people on my team have all four of these thoughts?"
1. I think that my work is interesting.
2. This is important.
3. I can do this.
4. I know what to try next.
If even one of them is missing, then they are not giving their full effort.
Excited to share our consensus statement on #TBI in first responders!
An important step toward guiding future research, policy, & practice through collaboration with the communities we serve.
The first of many to come!

Shout out to Brandee Barbee (and every athletic trainer or other medical personnel) who react - usually within seconds - to on-field emergencies. Given the chaos on the field and the sidelines, this is more impressive than many might appreciate. And, it might be lifesaving.
55 years ago today, I won $4,000 at a tournament and became the first woman athlete to earn $100,000 in prize money in a single year.
At the time, $100,000 felt like a milestone. But it was about so much more than the money. It was about proving what was possible, and opening doors for the generations to follow.
Today, professional tennis players represent 10 of the 20 highest-paid women athletes.
We have come so far.
But progress doesn’t happen by itself. We have to keep pushing, keep breaking barriers, and keep opening doors.
We’ve come a long way. And we’re not done yet.
NYC is opening 160 car-free (but treat-filled) streets and plazas to enjoy fun and safe fall festivities this spooky season.

We were proud to co-host the APTA & @NSCA Return to Play Performance Summit this weekend. 🎉
Thank you to the PTs, PTAs, and strength and conditioning professionals who joined us to exchange ideas, share perspectives, and explore how our professions can learn from one another.
23 years ago today, we lost Althea Gibson, the first Black athlete to win a Grand Slam.
The Jackie Robinson of tennis, Althea broke barriers and opened doors, paving the way for generations of athletes to pursue their dreams.
Every time we continue the work for equality, we honor her legacy.
We will never forget what she made possible.

🇮🇪🚇 Mayor Mamdani and Ireland’s prime minister, Micheál Martin, took turns calling numbers during a lively game of bingo at the Irish Center. Then they rode the G train to Classon Avenue, a fun nod to the Irish pub tradition of “splitting the G!” 🍺😂 New Yorkers Love Mamdani!

Things I’d tell another woman in medicine on a slow long run, but probably not in a faculty meeting:
A title is not compensation.
Ask what comes off your plate.
Keep receipts.
Find sponsors, not only mentors.
Being needed ≠ being valued.
Stop making yourself smaller.
#WIMmonth
We’re now working to help fill that gap.
