@aishahhasnie Trump surrenders because he doesn’t have the guts to win the war he started. Will the Iranians even let US naval vessels into the Gulf, or is Trump surrendering our bases, as well? Who will believe Trump’s BS besides “poorly educated” MAGA, whom he says he loves but doesn’t.
@JSchanzer Netanyahu should do what’s necessary to protect his country. Anybody familiar with Trump’s history knows he would sell out his brother if he thinks it’ll get out of a mess he’s created. He’s a big tough talking fake.
@RALee85 Iraq was a mistake: it should’ve been obvious that Saddam had nothing to do with Al-Qaeda or 9/11. While revolutionary Iran was working with Al-Qaeda. In the 1980s, the US saw Saddam as a bulwark against Iran. Even after Gulf War 1, it should’ve been possible to work with him.
@RLHeinrichs Trump seems willing to give Iran real concessions in exchange for their opening the strait, which wouldn’t be a real concession on their part because it was open before he started the war. Trump could open the strait but “doesn’t have the stomach for it.”
@ianbremmer The ignoramuses we graduate from public schools & colleges can’t understand this. All the money SpaceX is raising will be invested. Rockets, satellites, & data centers are expensive, which is why these companies don’t turn a profit.
@FrankLuntz How genuine are these figures for solar? Advocates like to use the listed energy conversion nos., not actual production. Solar doesn’t produce electricity at night & production is reduced by cloud cover, ice, snow & age. Production during certain hours of the day is not needed.
@FoxNews@KaterynaLis No money will change hands? If sanctions are removed, the regime will have plenty of money to rebuild its military & support its proxies. Can you really prevent the regime from pursuing a nuclear weapon? The regime has figured out its control of the strait is its nuclear bomb.
@epaleezeldin@MyronMagnet So what is the Trump administration doing about this? Interstate NG pipelines are a national issue which should override stupid state objections. Try getting Congress to assert its authority while the R’s have control. Use budget reconciliation if necessary. The SC will uphold.
@RapidResponse47@StrickerNonpro@POTUS Someone made money buying yesterday’s huge stock market dip and selling today. As for Trump’s deal, you can bet it will be fairly worthless if it ever even comes to a signing ceremony.
@PolicyEngineer True, but Carter couldn’t bring himself to de-regulate oil & NG and that was part of his undoing. Laffer also forgets that there were small income & capital gains reductions & the creation of 401(k) plans. Back then there were Democrats who supported capitalism.
@TreyYingst@hughhewitt When the going gets tough, President Bone Spurs gets going, i.e., he turns tail & vamooses all the while declaring victory. Don’t forget it was the Donald who signed the surrender deal with the Taliban; then when Biden bungle the evacuation, Donald used that as a campaign issue.
@PolicyEngineer So-called green energy companies, many of them foreign-owned, our benefiting. And you can bet that state legislators who, despite being the highest paid in the country, are benefiting from political donations from these companies. These guys & gals don’t do anything for nothing.
@jimgeraghty In his dotage, the self-described stable genius is proving himself to be an unstable clown show. He’s a danger to the country. Let’s see what the Dems do when they take over Congres next year. Maybe they’ll get enough Senate Republicans to remove him from Office.
@ianbremmer The world is quickly learning that tough-talking Trump 2 is 80% bullsh_t. Stand up to him and he backs down, i.e., tacos. The only ones who haven’t caught on yet are those “poorly educated” MAGA, who Trump says he loves but doesn’t. And, oh yeah, spineless Republican legislators.
@TreyYingst The Iranian regime is sending a message to the world that tough-talking Trump is a fake & a weakling, which everybody except “the poorly educated” MAGA knew beforehand. Actually, Bibi ought to tell Trump to go to Hell & do what he thinks necessary to protect his country.
@PedderSophie@simonmontefiore Trump was an arrogant, narcissistic rich boy draft dodger at the age these American heroes were storming Omaha Beach. They recognize a real hero in Zelinsky, who is battling in every way he can to save his country. A fake tough guy like Trump is uncomfortable around real heroes.
@FAHayekSays True, but the socialist states such as the Soviet Union or so-called Communist China seem to evolve into outright fascist states, run by ex-socialists. Both are essentially mafia states run for the benefit of the ruling party & particularly, its leadership.
@FAHayekSays True, people have different levels of intelligence, talents & physical prowess but have equal moral worth. They are made in the image & likeness of God. (Imago Dei) This aspect of Western civilization is rooted in the Judeo-Christian tradition.
