@StatsSAC Oh yeah, I agree. I don't think we "know" anything yet. But time and injuries have a way of diminishing skills as you know, and he was never an elite hitter to begin with.
@StatsSAC My thinking as well. it's such a difficult position to upgrade offensively, and they have multiple options who are capable of the defensive side. Focus on upgrading the offense elsewhere.
@StatsSAC But Shawn do you think adding SS help is in the cards here? Because I kind of don't see it. Even w HSK struggling, between the three options they have I'm betting AA thinks they have enough there. I just can't see that being a deadline focus.
@keithtrollinger@Braves They just aren't going to play Dom against a lefty outside of super isolated incidents. Same with Yaz. They badly need a right handed LF/DH.
@BravesSufferer @lordlamb2 I'm saying this assuming that you're not a new fan. But, as a seasoned fan, you know that you don't really acquire help in May. This is the part of the year where they evaluate needs, of which they definitely have some.
@VerrastroPhilip@mlbbowman I think they rushed him up a little. I get why they did it, but now in hindsight it definitely seems like he could have used more time at Gwinnett.
@JayNealGA@BeaneaterB Because they would strictly be a DH option vs lefties, which they can both still do. Exciting moves? No, but the kind of small piece adds that AA has favored in the past? For sure. I hope they go bigger, but in this context they absolutely make sense.
