On tonight's shift, an incident involved a 19-year-old male getting trapped within an agricultural machine. SYRPC_YAS and SYRPC_SYFRS worked closely together in order to free the male from the machine. #fictional

Tonight's shift we were kept on our toes and received 7 callouts. We responded to 2 car fires, 1 kitchen fire, 1 carbon monoxide leak, 1x chimney fire, 1x bin fire. and 1x Fire in the open. #fictional

Today's the day I start my new shifts within South Yorkshire RPC, I will now be joining @SYRPC_SYFRS and cant wait to start working with everyone.

You haven't heard from me for a while but I assure you I have been quite busy sorting out training for our Aerial Ladder Platform. This appliance is a great resource that will help us in a variety of incidents.

Tonight I joined Police and Ambulance in some community engagement. However, had to cut it short due to a job involving our Environmental Protection Unit.

Here you can see one of our thermal imaging cameras in use at an aviation fire on a runway. This is a vital part of equipment that we use daily.

The other day we had a Hazardous materials job, which included a Lorry RTC. This lorry was carrying magnesium powder and this powder is known to be very flammable and combustible, D class powder was used to extinguish the fire safely.

Today we received our Environmental protection Unit from fleet maintenance. This will be a great additional resource to our fleet.

2 Pumps and a Specialist Unit turned out to reports of a building collapse.

Yesterday's shift we received reports of an automatic fire alarm inside a holiday home, a total of 3 appliances and 1 aerial were at the scene with a total of 10 firefighters. The fire was confirmed on the 2nd floor and was extinguished within half an hour of arriving on scene.

On tonight's shift, while we weren't responding to incidents, we took the opportunity to practice our BA entry. This training is done to protect firefighters from what may be behind the door and can also reduce the possibility of a backdraft.

On tonights shift, we had 3 stations around the city on shift, at my station we had access to use our brand new water bowser. This appliance was a great use to us in providing water to an incident ground in a sparse location.

Here you can see a roof on fire, for these types of incident we will request our Turntable Ladder which gives us the ability to fight the fire from above while keeping a safe distance away. Meaning no firefighters are put at risk.

Tonight we dealt with a Major Fire in a scrapyard. We had multiple pumping appliances on the scene as well as a High Volume Pump set up to supply water to the incident. Also Tonight we received our CSU back from fleet maintenance with a nice new livery.

Last patrol we got reports of a mayday from an aircraft. The plane had landed on northbound lanes of the freeway and combusted into flames. This was declared a Major Incident. There was 1 fatality and no one else injured.
