@DS9subplots It was an heirloom passed down from Tobin's grandfather. Leeta tears apart her and Rom's quarters looking for it, only to learn that Garak has it. He claims he just found it, but that since she has no evidence it's hers, he'll only trade it for the bear she snagged off Bashir.

A Yridian sells Quark the hitherto-unknown Bajoran Orb of Candid Assessment, which delivers pitiless takedowns to those (Quark, Rom, Miles) who open it. But when Kira tries it out, she discovers the Orb is actually Odo blowing off steam.

When the "mobile emitter holo-pets" craze hits DS9, Quark hosts a pet pageant on the promenade. Jake & Nog's Aldebaran hissing beetle is in a dead heat with Kira's pink Rigelian shih tzu but both get unexpectedly eaten by Worf's Klingon targ.

@DS9subplots Five different people over the course of the episode ask the Chief if he's tried cutting power to the section, then turning it back on. By the time Bashir does it, he just screams in frustration in reply.

@misandryalex Absolutely. There was nothing wrong with the plasma recirculation system, the chip was digitally tagged as a RCD4426 but it was actually a RCD4526. The tolerance was off by a magnitude of 100x
