@DemSocialists Veterans Working Group helps veterans/adjacent connect with communities and each other to organize for democratic socialism ES: @VeteranxsDSA
As socialist veterans of U.S. wars, we prioritize centering victims of the exploitative U.S. war machine we once were a part of. Our published statements highlight our internationalist and anti-imperialist praxis best and are aggregated here: https://t.co/Cbyv9OmN7x #WarIsARacket
Female soldier was allegedly sexually assaulted by *22* other troops at the Army training base in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, Pentagon official tells me.
Video of the incidents has been circulating among servicemembers.

-End the ForeverWar NOW. Conditions-based departure criteria is just a neverending stall tactic
-close 50% of US military bases abroad and close more after that
-fully fund the VA and fill the staffing vacancies
-end VA prohibitions on marijuana and more
-defund the Pentagon
"Democrats & Republicans alike perpetuate and profit off of war and violence in our communities at home & abroad." - Dissenters organizer @smiralao

The best time to YEET the military-industrial complex ghouls from @Transition46 is after adding them to the transition team. The second best time is now. Shame on you, @JoeBiden#WarIsARacket
I analyzed Biden's Pentagon transition team and found that one third of its members work for think tanks, organizations, or companies that either directly receive money from the weapons industry—or are part of the arms industry themselves. https://t.co/ygRSNKR06y
"In order for soldiers to kill, racist indoctrination needs to be part of the training. Racism is one of the ways the U.S. military compels soldiers to kill — by declaring their targets to be less than human." - @RTFanning

Friends don’t let friends work for war elites 🚫🙅🏽
We know endless wars are about profit and imperialism, not safety.
Dissenters at Howard University exposing the truth about war profiteers like Lockheed Martin and Boeing preying on young people 👇🏽 #RecruitersOffCampus
Ok so the war wasn’t about freedom, and a lot of people died for the profits of the rich. But shouldn’t we still remember those working people who died? Of course, and the best way to do that is to listen to them, and not the rich people who tried to speak for them. (15)
Probably because it’s difficult to perpetuate the false narrative that the wars we participated in are clearly not waged for any altruistic reasons. There’s no honor or courage in serving an institution that unleashes horrific violence for power and profit.
“...when we talk about far right paramilitary groups that vets are drawn to, police departments are the largest among them.” @RTFanning 🔥 #VeteransDay https://t.co/TE2lYmS32J
As we will continue to say, when words like “service” or “sacrifice” are used, its crucial to ask, service to what and sacrifice for who? Remember that victims of war, are overwhelmingly civilians.
“This Veterans Day, if you wish to honor the troops & humanity as a whole, vow to break with or challenge the military-industrial complex.
This means dismantling the war industry & converting factory output to meet human need instead of war profiteering.”

This Veteran's Day, I'm thinking about how military recruiters would come to my rural working class community and set up their tables in the high school cafeteria, promising something better to all the kids who'd run out of options or never had them in the first place. They lied.
It's Veterans Day. "Today is one of the most difficult days of year for our community impacted by endless wars we're fighting to end. We are asking you to lean into the work ahead by making an investment." @BrittDeBarros, @VetsAboutFace. Donate here: https://t.co/EhrYtC6JvC

This #VeteransDay we're sharing words from our members. Please uplift their voices & invest in our ongoing efforts to end the wars --> https://t.co/XmQPDnQfWo
The US's endless wars have taken the wrecking ball to civilians--and veterans. Major studies show that returning Iraq and Afghanistan vets screen positive at the low end at 13.5% at the high end 20-30%. Roughly 17 vets take their own lives a day. Bring the troops home.
