Some humans come to Old London to gawk, though most of us look no different from the average human. Others come in search of power, some trinket or potion that will make them feel special, not understanding that magic is in the blood.

@emreadsthebooks@DesideriaMesa We don’t know what we don’t know. You think that’s how everyone’s bodies are. Hope you’ve found a treatment that helps you.
@emreadsthebooks@DesideriaMesa That’s so painful to read, but I know not as painful to experience! Going to the ER with nonspecific pain is not at all fun. I’m so sorry that it took so long to discover. The average is something ridiculous like 4-10 years. We definitely need more education for docs and women!
@emreadsthebooks@DesideriaMesa That’s horrible! So sorry you had to go through it. I was in a lot of pain but I’d survived severe peritonitis (after an endo surgery went wrong) in my 20s and that was my reference for number 10 pain, so I inadvertently keep downplaying my pain level.
@emreadsthebooks@DesideriaMesa Ugh I had one burst a few months ago. I had no idea what was happening and the ER “couldn’t see anything” so it was “prob endo resurfacing”given my history. Later found out what was going on. Took forever to heal too.
