У Dash нет кошелька разработчиков, куда падает 20% каждого блока. Это миф.

Сплит субсидии сейчас: 20% майнерам, 60% мастенодам, 20% в governance budget. Так с хардфорка v20 в декабре 2023. Раньше казна была 10%.

Но в обычном блоке эти 20% не создаются. Нет накопительного treasury-адреса, который месяц копит эмиссию.

Раз в ~16 616 блоков, то есть примерно раз в 30 дней, выходит superblock. В нём минтится только сумма одобренных заявок, и токены сразу уходят на адреса авторов proposal’ов. Получает не «команда автоматически», а любой, кого мастеноды утвердили: Dash Core Group, маркетинг, интеграции, гранты. DCG каждый месяц заново проходит голосование.

Неиспользованный остаток бюджета не выпускается. Это не burn и не деньги на складе. Токена просто не было. Поэтому реальная эмиссия Dash ниже теоретического max supply.

Искать один dev wallet бессмысленно. Смотреть нужно superblock payouts, а не мифический счёт с 20% с каждого блока.

I demand congress stay out of it. They have zero business getting involved. Zero qualifications to get involved, and no constitutional authority to get involved.

AI is code, protected by the first amendment. They are obligated to allow people to write and distribute that code.

If in fact AI is a weapon (not really how I look at it), then it should also be protected by the second amendment.

As of Friday, I'm no longer monetized on X.

It's not unexpected: the new monetization scheme put much higher qualification thresholds that I knew would be hard to hit.

I've been on Twitter/X for 14 years now. I've created unique content on radical digital sovereignty, something I've built a career on as one of the world's foremost experts on living unbanked on crypto.

I'm not going anywhere. But it's a good reminder for everyone about the big problems with centralized social media, and to point to an actual, real solution.

Problem 1: Arbitrary Rule Changes

When the creator revenue share program came out, I studied how to become successful on X. I implemented it, and it worked. Great.

But the rules of the game arbitrarily changed many times over. My audience I spent over a decade building almost never sees my posts now.

If you're doing it like a fun side thing like I was, minor annoyance. But if being a creator is your livelihood, a company arbitrarily pulling the rug is pretty scary.

Problem 2: Small Creators and the Unbanked Can't Monetize

The new monetization rules on X do get rid of bots/inorganic content, but they also demonetize any small creators, especially in developing countries.

There's essentially no growth path for small creators: they get completely rejected and must work for free in hopes of one day monetizing.

Not really complaining: it's X's choice how they do business. But it still means that a lot of value is left on the table.

Centralized systems will always rug you and exclude those who need it the most!

Unfortunately, virtually all "decentralized" social media has major centralization chokepoints in order to operate at scale. Twetch, Farcaster, Nostr, all have the same issues.

Thankfully, we're working on something that just might stick.

Solution: Yappr

Because of Dash's unique decentralized data structured, actually-decentralized and trustless platforms are possible.

The flagship example of this, Yappr, a social site similar to X but with far more features (like an uncensorable web store), is launching on mainnet very soon.
