Big win for the students of Jharkhand:
The Jharkhand govt has decided to:

1. Cancel ALL exams conducted by tainted agency TDPL
2. Set up a committee for exam reforms
3. Order a probe by a committee headed by a retired judge, NOT the CBI

The students’ protests clearly forced the govt to act. But if the exams were compromised, why is the govt shying away from a CBI probe?

The decision taken by the Bar Council of India (BCI) to bar the enrolment of NALSAR’s 2026 graduating students, and its subsequent withdrawal, points towards a deeply flawed approach. Holding innocent students accountable for an alleged wrongdoing in which they had no role is neither just nor acceptable.

ABVP does not agree with such an approach. Institutions like the BCI must refrain from issuing such arbitrary directions and ensure that every decision is based on facts, due process, a fair inquiry, and justice.
