@marcportermagee We have a great cell phone ban happening at my school (middle school). You need admin who stands with you, though, which is not always the case. Parents fought it at first but everything is so much smoother, the kids are happier... Honestly it's the best thing.

@heymrsbond So true. Also kids are super insecure about haircuts, bad hair days, etc, and hoodies let them hide. I had a kid whose mom had died suddenly, and his dad didn't know how to do his hair or who to take him to, so he wore a hood. We just don't know. it's not a big deal. Let them be
