In 1957, LSU sophomore Billy Cannon took a kickoff 97 yards to the house against Texas Tech in a 19-14 win — one of the longest kickoff returns in Tigers history.
That same game he also caught a 59-yard touchdown pass. The play helped launch the legend who would win the 1959 Heisman and lead LSU to a national title.

PS It was the 3rd & deciding game in this thrilling playoff series which were all won dramatically in extra innings!
