Well I had a lovely first day at the @DTPGrandUnion conference today. I can confirm Oxford University isn't half as intimidating as expected thanks to the lovely DTP folk and they have excellent gluten free cakes. But the best bit was meeting Team OU-GUDTP (@OUGradSch) in person!
We are particularly happy about our Project On A Postcard this year - everyone attending has done a lovely postcard sized image that represents their work in some way.
Thanks to @veldaelliott for taking time out to discuss ideas for the @DTPGrandUnion conference with the scholars association today. Exciting times ahead! I love it when a meeting with a senior academic ends with a chat about the Octonauts ๐ the joys of mum-Prof/PGR common ground

Preparing slides for a student conference has really highlighted the value of creativity in my research. After 6wks off it has been great to look back and reflect on how creative experiences have shaped my project. It appears there's fine line between procrastination and progress
