Supplication for the Days of Tashrīq
As we enter the Days of Tashrīq, one of the most beautiful supplications we can keep on our tongues is the duʿā’ the Prophet ﷺ frequently recited:
𝗥𝗮𝗯𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗮̄ 𝗮̄𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮̄ 𝗳𝗶𝗱-𝗱𝘂𝗻𝘆𝗮̄ ḥ𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗵, 𝘄𝗮 𝗳𝗶𝗹-𝗮̄𝗸𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶 ḥ𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗵, 𝘄𝗮 𝗾𝗶𝗻𝗮̄ ʿ𝗮𝗱𝗵𝗮̄𝗯𝗮𝗻-𝗻𝗮̄𝗿.
A beautiful habit is to include it within every duʿā’ you make, just as the Prophet ﷺ would do. No matter what you ask Allāh for, end with this duʿā’, for it combines the goodness of this life and the next.

Come ready to learn, reflect, and benefit.
May Allah grant us sincerity and steadfastness.
Moist your tongues with takbīr, taḥmīd, and tahlīl while your hands are occupied. Let your homes be filled with dhikr in these days of Dhul-Ḥijjah.
May Allāh allow us to capitalize on these blessed days, keep our hearts attached to His remembrance, and accept it from us.
This account is dedicated to inspiring and guiding sisters on their journey to becoming better and observing the jilbāb by sharing Āyāt, Ahadīth, & the kalām of the Ulamā.
Our goal is to encourage the commitment to modesty and strengthen sisters to its adherence, In-Shāʾ-Allāh.

The senior scholars are a tremendous blessing for this Ummah.
It is upon us to benefit from them while they are still living, for they are examples of knowledge and wisdom.

This weekend, I discussed the call of Shaykh Abd Allah al-Qar’awi. Before his arrival in the southern region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, he purchased 20,000 rials worth of books, including Kitab al-Tawhid, Al-Usul al-Thalathah, masahif, and others. One of the first things he did after settling was open a small shop to sell his wares. He also established lessons there. Students came to learn the fundamentals of the faith. That small shop became the fountainhead of his call in the region.
This shows that the most effective da‘wah can spread from the simplest places. While many of our centers and masjids may be humble, they are beacons in cities across the country. I am reminded of this each time I visit our brothers at @Masjid_IbnAbbas in College Park, Georgia. From that masjid in a strip mall, our brothers have established the call to Salafiyyah. May Allah bless them for their efforts. It always brings us joy to visit them. This weekend was no exception.
We gathered, travelers and residents, to read passages from the classical work Ighathah al-Lahfan by Imam Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah, a work that clarifies the devil’s deceptions. Al-Allamah Salih al-Fawzan likens it to Ibn al-Jawzi’s Talbis Iblis. Both works clarify the deviations of misguided groups, such as the Sufis and the people of rhetoric. The English version, Purification of the Heart, is a translation of the book’s introduction, in which the author discusses how to protect the heart from the diseases of doubts and desires, how to arm it against deviation and disbelief.
It was a wonderful three-day event, full of warm encounters and benefit. May Allah reward the community for their invitation and hospitality. May He continue to bless them to spread the Salafi call in the Atlanta area. Indeed, Allah is merciful to His servants.
