Intel’s Optane memory modules launched with a lot of fanfare in 2015, & were recently discontinued… with similar fanfare. It was a sad day for me, a lover of abstraction-breaking technologies, but it was forseeable & understandable.

They inverted the time to completion to make "higher is better", which although very confusing, does suggest that nVidia is higher performance. At least on the nVidia chart above.
